she was clearly uncomfortable in it, she was abt trip in heels.. so no matter how decent it looks to us, not revealing and all.. if a person wearing it finds it uncomfortable then IT IS UNCOMFORTABLE...

so i m in no way blaming Dev for the way he reacted.. it was out of character.. it wasnt out of place.... he knows Amba too well to know what she could have done.. (she had tricked in first episode to go on knees for his sister's happy married life..)

Hey I think you got it wrong. We weren't exactly blaming Dev for his reactions. We were talking about how HP is overreacting over this issue and how he is wrong to put the blame on Dev for the fiasco. Hai daughter is not a 10 year old that he expects Dev to baby sit her all the time. Dev can't be around her all the time. She can and should take care of herself. Dev is her boss and HP shouldn't be talking to him like that. Him closing door on Dev and then stopping her from working is what we were talking about. He is not allowing Vidhi to take her decision.

@bold -agree!! He just didn't want to believe Vidhi could want this. Though I think His reaction may be more to do with the fact that he thinks Amba is manipulative.

But still it sounded like Vidhi can't do this because it is wrong🤔 itv does have a way to show ki FLs have to be like this, they can never want to wear Western dress or something and it is wrong to wear it. Even Vidhi was like kya hogaya?😆

I hope Vidhi jab uthe she is atleast able to say she wants to work and HP just can't go and tell she won't come to office

him blaming Amba for the chaos is simple cause He Knows Amba way too much... much more than he knows Vidhi..

he hasnt known Vidhi.. we havent seen them bond over things other than their families or Baal ghar.. ViDev havent opened abt their liking, dislikings n wants so there is no way for Dev to know if it was her wish or not.. or she wants to blend in that surrounding.. agar kabhi Vidhi ne bola hota mujhe western dress pahnne ka man karta hau but papa nahi pahn ne dete.. tab samajh aata ke Dev is ignoring the fact ke Vidhi might hav wanted to wear it.

On other hands he knows Amba just so much to know she could trick anyone and manipulate them to do what she wants them to (and Dev wasnt wrong)

also when you say it was Vidhi's choice.. i can never consider it to be her choice.. it wasnt her free will, she was tricked... she was manipulated... cause Amba knew whats her weakness and what could make Vidhi give in to her tricks.

Free will would have been.. Amba saying "oh i have this dress if yoi want to wear... Vidhi saying oh i hvnt wore such dresses but let me try"

this wasnt the case.. Vidhi clearly rejected the idea at first go but then Amba brought Dev and Vidhi was tricked into thinking it might make her lil closer to Dev... so for me it wasnt Vidhi's free will but Amba's trick to make her think it was..

You were so right in saying what Amba did was classic manipulation...

she literally tries to go scot free by putting blame on vidhi ke maine to kaha tha bas use nahi pahn na to mana kar deti...

how cunning this lady is.. she put all the blame on Vidhi without revealing what exactly she did to make Vidhi agree to wear it... and i am waiting for the day Dec asks vidhi tumne haan kyu kiya dress ke liye and she tells the truth only to let Deb know how much naive this girl is... ke Amba ne buddhu bana diya...

Amba suspects ViDev because she knows Vidhi likes Dev; Yogika and the rest aren't thinking on that angle because they don't know that Vidhi likes him.

Interesting that Dev labelled Amba a control freak- is that the reason he didn't want to marry her? The other eery part was Amba lurking in the background when HP was speaking to Dev- did she witness the whole ViDev drunk interaction then?😲

The drunk scene wasn't too bad but have seen better ones in ITV though (the last good one for me was Ishqi in IPZN on Sony).

I thought HP would give Dev back his coat there and then 😃

thats very much true..and i hate it.. HP is kind of typical Indian male who wants to put sara khandan ki maryada ki jimmedari ladki ke kandho pe jaise uski apni koi life, koi dreams hai hi nahi.. all a girl has is ghar khandan ki ijjat ke theka to make sure it remains safe sacred...

Vidhi needs time and hand holding to learn how this world works... and she needs someone as mentor as a guide to lead her face the life.. she cant do it on her own as of now.. and seeing her dad behaving i think it will take time for her to comr out of her dad's illogical expectations.

ViDev don't meet for a few days (atleast not directly, might be possible indirectly)

Vidhi is called for "Round 2" by NRI guy

Dev does an indirect BG check, finds him dodgy.

Dev tries to convey to HP; HP doesn't want to hear.

Depending on how much the CV's want to stretch it, Vidhi-NRI goes ahead. HP (eventually!) opens his eyes regarding the NRI, and is grateful to Dev. Allows Vidhi to start working again.
