BTW I was shocked to see Saif's palace in promo. Ravan lived in Sone ki Lanka and literally his palace was built of gold and so was his kingdom. How the hell did makers show a dark dingy castle of black colour belonging to Ravan?

Where is the palace and kingdom of gold? And where is Ravan's janeu? Ravan is a Brahmin, no? Saif is not wearing janeu. Why?

It's better than the spiked hair and Tanhaji inspired outfits lol. I'm thinking maybe this is meant to be a representation. But I dunno. It's all over the place. Om Raut should come forward and clarify

Ideally they should have shown him as proper king with crown, janeu and egoistic scholar who is also a pervert.

The beard, lack of janeu, lack of tilak in some scenes, black castle though Ravan lived in palace of gold, were bound to invite backlash.

Raut seems to have ignored epic to make film look like GoT or House of Dragons.

Where is Sone ki Lanka in this promo? Wait for more criticism once film releases. It is a disaster.

Om should have been so careful with this. In this political era, people are looking for things to scrutinize, like Ranbir wearing shoes in the temple in Bramashtra promos. But he just went all out and released this. What was he thinking? No context, nothing. Should have put in a disclaimer or something.

It is not just politics but the epic he touched. Ramayana is known so widely to even non Hindus that it is impossible to take too much liberty with it and not be called out.

I feel bad for Saif who is being bashed and his religion is dragged again. Why people do not bash Raut and hound Saif as if he chose his look or sets?

I hope for his sake, Saif keeps QUIET this time and does NOT speak about history or epics the way he spoke about history in Tanhaji promotions and got roasted.

God forbid, if he used the word myth or imagination, he will have way harder time than what he already has.
