I think he might be accepting. He doesn’t force people neither does he have any expectations from them.. even when the job offer came to Vidhi, he told her it’s her choice whether to take or not. Not on one occasion but many times ..

so I think if Vidhi were to back out, he’ll be heart broken but he will accept her decision.

Hey IMO Dev lovestory is unique hence it wouldn't suit for Dev to become a lovelorn Romeo. Instead just like how Vidhi dad agreed for her Naukri similarly their love story should culminate into marriage with the acquiescence of the parents especially Vidhi parents. There satyavati was Devvrat's ( more commonly known by the name Bhishma)step mother. Amba tried to marry Bhishma but was rejected by him. Sorry my post is just a remark. even Dev dads name is what was in Mahabharat of Bhishma Pitas dad name.. shantanu.
