this whole congenital anomaly thing is not going to be a factor for makers at all. tbh even if it is, its actually the one thing that is not PPs fault because she wouldnt know about that aspect at all when she planned her surrogacy. medically Sai also as per her character graph will not blame pp for Vinus condition. its the other stuff- the illegality of it, the fact that the pregnancy itself was risky since it was pp's first which diaqualifies her form being a surrogate and the fact that the intention was evil- thats what was problematic and the fact that her husband snatched her reproductive right, her choice, her rights and eventually her baby and her self-respect. that was the issue. she was willing to look past it all, if only pp was punished, v had realization but he let her down even when shown the truth and a mirror.
as far as Sairat go, after everything he has done, it is illogical for Sai to go back to V if she has any self respect. the characters may be fictional, the plot may be needlessly dramatic but the sentiments and discussion have always been very passionate and emotional on the forum. people have all followed the story for a long time and so the least we can do is to have the conviction to call the wrong as wrong. people can hope for the better, but before any track of V realization even happening how can we already be absolving him of his crimes or forgetting the past story to root for Sai being with a spineless and despicable guy.
I know I was a huge fan of Sairat, still am in the depth of my heart- but of the old Sairat. but that chemistry, that bond , that couple is long gone. it will be eons before we can get that back and it will take a lot from makers and from V as a character.
this show is not an episodic for people to forget the past and take each episode as a new one . we have 600 + episodes of history.
its one thing to have hope for better and watch and another to be unrealistic and hypocritical. in MY opinion it is utterly insensitive and cruel to watch the show as things stand and say V should be shown as a maahan guy and Sai should ask for forgiveness and return to him. Let the man atleast introspect first and then we can see about reconciliation. right now we have a guy who is increasing his emotional connect everyday with the abuser of his wife whom he supposedly loved, he himself is being the most disrespectful towards her as a professional and we see explaining all this as his "love and possessiveness" for Sai. he has no concern even for that girl who is his supposedly his daughter whom he felt an instant connect with or the elderly UM.
on an aside, how is it ok that several people who were being realistic have always been judged for being "negative, pessimistic" or called out for making negative predictions many of which clearly came out to be true- and that was supposedly just a difference in pov and not a personal attack whereas vice versa cannot be digested. one person's offense is offense, whereas another person's offense is inconsequential and them being petty, immature or childish. yeh kya bias hai. People should have the stomach to take a little bit of what they dish out to others. Ganging up against people calling them negative and then turning around and acting as if they are torchbearers for peaceful and positive, fun discussions is not fair.
when people disagree on a place like the internet where we are faceless and personality-less to each other, it is the opinions that disagree not the people themselves because we dont even know each other's real persona. I know I cannot police anyone as to what they should or should not say/feel on the internet but I definitely reserve the right to air my disagreement and even distaste/disgust on an "opinion" (NOT the person-because they are faceless/nameless ) without sugarcoating- but obviously that doesnt mean anyone needs to change their opinion. Also people can actually change their opinions all the time. However changing opinions, pov and evolving is different from being a pendulum like the character of V. Thats why he is so jarring as a character. no clarity, no introspection, no logic. thats why makers have committed a major blunder by destroying his core.
in the larger scheme of things I personally feel it is the audience feedback on the content served to us that determines the tone and treatment of subjects on ITV. if we as audience are going to lap up anything and eventually smile and say happy ending milega, then that in my mind enables makers to serve more such BS. It is only when we tell the makers that we do not subscribe to their content that we can atleast hope for a bit of change. it may not be seen immediately. it may be that they ignore many voices of audience dissent but if its unanimous and consistent, they cannot ignore it forever. If on the other hand, we lose momentum and develop amnesia to everything and say kuch bhi chlata hai then we will keep getting recycled kachra content only. The other formula is utter indifference but thats very hard to do after you watch a show for 600 episodes and get attached abd habituated to it. The activity on the forum shows how powerful a habit can be. Thats the strength of itv. Every day 20 mins karke people form a habit and its tough to get rid of it. Online audience cannot generate trp but they generate buzz for sure so we cant discount the online audience entirely. If not, why'd the channel have cared for specific things targeted for online audience like 1 week ahead episodes etc.
the journey is as important as the destination. Giving us a Sairat endgame with Sai and V being a shell of the people they were or being completely different from what we knew them as- thats just a lollipop/freebie. It can take us by surprise and be enjoyed also but it will fizzle out and not last for too long. Quality is more important than quantity. aur 600, ya 1000 episode chala lenge show ko but voh X-factor, voh special baat hi nahi rahegi toh kya faayda hai?
Different people have different reasons to watch the show and also tolerance thresholds- sure. But no one gets to tell others what to say and preach etiquette when they themselves dont follow it. Theres a saying that people living in glass houses should not throw stones.
Its really unfair to brand others as " insensitive "and negative when one themselves cannot be "sensitive." Shouldn't preach what we cant practice ourselves. Its like bk ka pravachan in yesterday's episode.
People say what they have to, may agree or disagree or be indifferent to others opinions, may react or not to those opinions. And bass hogaya. The end.
