@bold- You know when he was saying iss baare mein na maina socha hai na sochunga I felt a slight melancholy in his words. Idk if he just became thoughtful or was sad about something. For a split second I did feel he might have had someone in his life (not Amba😆) that he may have wanted to marry but couldn't due to some reason

Or he could have become silent as he was still processing Vidhi's words🤣

Jo bhi ho I feel Vidhi ke liye kuch toh hai uske dil mein. He probably wasn't expecting that yeh ladki directly itna kuch bol degi😆 honestly if she had told she has infatuation on someone else, Dev's life would have been so much more easier 😆 he would have just thought she doesn't think anything of me and she is half may age so I should stop thinking then thoda sad hota kuch vakt ke liye but his life would have been back to normal. But Vidhi actually having feelings for him makes things a lot more complicated. Thats what is bringing toofan now. He can't completely ignore her as he too does like her nor can he easily accept his and her feelings due to the age factor.

ill add what i ovsereved.. he thinks her as a Dear friend, a confidant with whom he has so many things in common. And we find such friends with common likings and people we tend to gravitate towards them cause they become our Happy Place (irrespective of feelings platonic or romantic alike). @bold- This!! Its definitely true. Don't know if he has fallen for her or not but she is definitely his happy place. Someone he just loves to spend time with, someone with whom he is just himself, someone with whom he finds a lot of sukoon. Its so visible on his face when he is with her, he just looks so content and full❤️

Yeah definitely there must be something in his past.

When they spoke about love in the office the other day he said I don't have experience, so even if there wasn't a proper relationship, there might be something, a reason why he hasn't married so far and hence why he clammed when she asked about his ideal partner.

Cheeky Dev! Getting info from Vidhi but not giving away anything.

And yes Vidhi is the proper innocent girl- Jo dil mein hai vo bol diya, she didn't realise she was actually giving away all her feelings and telling the man directly what she felt!

i had same hunch.. its like when flip a coin and as long as it stays in air you pray for the side you want it to have once landed... and am sure while putting that question in open he was hoping this all should be his misunderstanding... cause there isnt anything abt him that can make him a suitable lover for Vidhi. but all her responses turned it otherwise... and thats the most shocking thing for him.

agar Vidhi na bolti to jyada se jyada he would hv felt meri galti hai yaar kya sochta tha main ke Vidhi mujhse pyar karegi... but abhi to he must be thinking dhakkn kyu pucha ye sawaal ab sambhalo consequences ko.. cause ab after knowing he cant ignore his growing feelings for her neither ignore her love for him.. he has some real big Toofan to Tame going forward.

I just saw the precap again. Was Dev lying about Vidhi to Satyavati? I mean from her dialogue it felt like Dev was a bit shocked by what Vidhi told that's why his mom was asking aisa kya keh diya usne? And he replies accha insaan ho, understanding ho... in vague terms. But Vidhi ne toh kuch aur hi bola tha🤣 Earlier I thought Satyavati may get a hint of ViDev but the way Dev is behaving it feels like ViDev will be a secret for sometime and will come as a shock to everyone one fine day

I will watch it today during lunch is it FF (vidhi and the joker coworker Arjun scenes)

Dev was very much disturbed that's very much evident from his expression...and Satyawati saying "aisa kya kah diya usne, kaisa ladka pasand hai use"

so did Dev really told Satyawati about Vidhi is the girl who said all that...

means he actually told Satywati ke Vidhi ne mujhse aisa sab kaha... n i am thinking she was hinting it to be me..... do you really think Dev told Satywati this way.. if not then which girl's reference he gave and why to Satyawati knowing she is so keen on getting him married...

Now that you have said it, he may not have mentioned Vidhi at all😆

I thought the scene may play out something like Dev sitting with a thoughtful/worried/shocked expression at home and Satyavati may come at that time. When she asks he may accidentally blurt out Vidhi was talking about qualities of her life partner. His mom seeing his expression may just generally question aisa kya kehdiya usne. But I think Dev will just tell it in vague terms like accha insaan, understanding etc which ws not what Vidhi told. He will definitely hide the coffee date thing😆

But as you said he may not mention Vidhi's name. I just hope his mom doesn't misunderstand the girl to be Amba or something 😵😵

Mujhe lag raha hai Dev Vidhi ke baare mein zyada kuch nahi bolega. I do believe he likes to keep it to himself.

I had similar thoughts while watching the scene. I didn't think much of it then but since you pointed it out, it did look like he toned down the conversation and made it sound very simple.

I think he is still very conflicted.
