OS: Vidhi- His destiny.

Hi all, here is an OS inspired a bit from the promos by the channel. The one where they hug in the rain.

Hope you all like it

I'm unable to post all at once so will probably break it down in the different posts.

His Destiny

Vidhi" He whispered out the name. It gave him peace, some sukoon to his troubled heart. In the last few weeks it was just chanting her name silently that got him through all this turmoil. The turmoil funnily was caused by this name.. well actually it was caused by their age gap.

When had he begun loving her he wondered? She was barely out of her teens, scared and innocent in this big bad world when he met her first. She called him 'uncleji' and he was just fine with it, and why not, he was almost 20 yrs older than her. Slowly she brought about a storm, a toofan in his life. The good wala toofan.

He was loosening up, he was not have any weird outbursts, he was opening up more to his family, he was more trusting, he was smiling more, he was even getting tad jealous, heck he even danced on streets! It was not difficult at all to fall in love with her. Her innocence, the purity she had, the way she cared and the maturity with which she handled so many things despite her age made him grow closer to her.

He had transitioned from uncleji to Dev sir to Dev.. her Dev the Dev she loved. She loved him.. Did she still love him? He knew she did, just as much he loved her. It was a love beyond measure, beyond rules of this society, beyond the boundaries age had defined.

He sighed..4 months had passed, long and torturous. He had not seen her since the fateful day.

Their age gap would cause issues they always knew it. It was such a big factor for them too. After crossing the initial hurdle of accepting that he can love her and she loves him too, they decided to take the new few steps- Telling their parents. His step mother was not so hard to convince. She raised a few things which they knew society in general would say. He and Vidhi had then gone to her house, to talk to her father. That had not gone well at all.

Vidhi had warned him that her father would be a tough nut to crack. They both had braced themselves for some insults and tears. But things had turned ugly. Seeing Vidhi cry, broke his heart, more than when people would comment " oh she is with an older guy, she probably has some defect!" "Defect" such hurtful comments were hurled very often when they stepped out in public, but today hearing it from her father was something else.

Hariprasadji had raved like a mad man. He didn't listen to reason, he didn't accept they could be in love, he couldn't fathom that Dev just a few years younger to him could marry his daughter. When Vidhi said she couldn't think of marrying anyone else other than Dev he had raised his hand. Dev had promptly stopped him, things were getting out of hand, that's when her father said most painful thing ever. He told Vidhi she could marry Dev but he'd disown her and never consider her his daughter. That had hit Dev hard, his sweet loving Vidhi had broken down listening to it. Thats when Dev decided he had to make a decision and he walked away. It was the most painful thing he had ever done.

He spoke to her over the phone the next day, apologized for taking the decision for both of them but told her this was the best thing for them ( for her).

Part 3

She had left the job shortly after, he knew that was coming but the void it had created was so deep and it only kept getting bigger. He had moved to a different office, he travelled, he tried to work from the confines of his house but the sweet memories with Vidhi were always there.

"Vidhi" he whispered the name again.

The rain had just stopped, he decided to go out for a bit, the ghat by the temple where they often went. They had taken many lovely ferry rides there, Dev decided he'd go there and reminisce.

He had just stepped out of his car when his phone rang, when he looked at his screen he stopped in his tracks, it was Vidhi!!

He answered and heard his name being called out. The number of emotions that ran through him at the mere sound of her voice was crazy. "Dev" she called out again, " Vidhi' he choked out.

" Where are you right now"

As he heard her question, he also registered the tremble in her voice, it worried him.

"Vidhi are you crying, is everything okay?" he slightly begining to panic.

" Where are you " she repeated.

" I'm by the ghat"

"I'll be there soon, wait for me" he could hear her sob.

Waiting for her like this was the most arduous task he had done but he finally saw her descending down the steps and the rain had just begun to drizzle.

" I love you" Vidhi said looking into Dev's eyes stopping a few steps away. He drank in those three words, a warmth spreading through him.

" What about your father, what about all these differences that we have" , the rain began pouring as he asked her this.

"The rain doesn't differentiate between us, why should we?" with that she covered rest of the distance and got into his tight embrace as Dev said "I love you too". He smiled.. Vidhi..his destiny.
