Suggest spin off/prequel/sequel/plot alteration from a movie or series

....of your choice .

You may pen out the plot in detail or just a rough outline .

Modern-day DDLJ: Simran has a spine. She tells her father she can not get married to someone she has never met. A childhood engagement does not hold much credibility. He disowns her. She sets off on her own to become independent. She meets Raj and they fall in love. After marriage, they decide they want to make immense with her family. They make a plan to win them over.

A plot alteration in Andhadhun . The second half , that whole sub-plot/twist of out of the blue organ traffickers overnight turned abductors,accidental killings & God knows what else dramatic coincidences , I found it to be :

- contrived,fanciful as in too many co-incidences happening every now & then in the movie

- overly complicating the whole affair as also over dramatic,mind numbing,wearisome that just killed the gripping tension & thrill which had been meticulously , painstakingly built over the principal plot making it very intriguing otherwise till first half

- hastily stuffed into the movie in a zeal for situational action

I would like to just weed it out & plant something more grounded , sober yet finer & engaging in line with the first half while seamlessly merging into it . One alternate could have been - (cut to heated convo b/w Simi & Manohar they are having in the apartment after she blinded Akash) now what happened after regaining their cool instead was that the cop , who's naturally well versed with law , comes up with a plan with Simi where they are to play carrot & stick with Akash as per which - they brief Akash that either they are compelled to arrange for his kill too or else he simply have to just keep mum in lieu of sponsoring his cornea surgery in foreign where he was already heading to & to now settle down also plus some money as negotiated upon . And to be on the safe side legally :

- Cop , who is also the IO in Pramod's case , will obtain a medico-legal certificate of Akash blindness (since he is naturally a blind now so that will not just be simple & straight now but also serve , in conjunction with surgery , a conclusive proof legally that he has been blind 'ever since')

- record a favorable statement of Akash with rather Magistrate u/s 164 as he is to fly abroad exigently for surgery & by this way , Akash's presence before law henceforth be forever done away with

- publicly announce for sponsoring the cornea transplant in memory of & as a tribute to late Pramod Sinha in a pompous gathering of family , electronic & print media (including newspaper that earlier published article upon his blindness)

Akash listens , contemplates (that he is miserably vulnerable as also a wreck in dire need) & agrees to it for a bright future and unhesitatingly negotiates the amount . The cop deploys his minion for the blind man assistance (but mainly to keep an eye on Akash) till all this is done & he is gone . Everything happens as per plan & he eventually regains sight after surgery , bumps onto Sophie to which he reveals everything & they are together .

(screenplay,dialogue,direction everything should be smart & brisk in a riveting way uptil here)

Now the ending with the mandatory twist (perhaps a base for sequel too just in case) - (cut to 6 month or year later) a carefree Simi pedicuring herself while blissfully humming when her cell buzzes . In a sudden turnaround , she literally got her heart in the mouth like a jolt from the sky struck it when she watches a clip where she is explicitly seen to be tossing down Mrs.Disa !

{in sequel , the implication can be elaborated that just when Akash came back from the apartment of Simi the first time after witnessing Pramod's disposing etc. without raising any serious suspicion that time in her mind about his blindness , he immediately procures a spy camera (not overtly depicted in part 1) latching it onto shirt button or something so as to be on the safe side just in case eg. any scandalous or incriminating happening that can be used against Simi or her paramour when needed etc.}

Sridevi just recalls in a flash at the climax who Kamal Haasan was/is and get back to him

That ending was so very tragic and claustrophobic (although it made what Sadma is)

Aashiqui 2- Rahul understands the negative effects of alcohol and works hard to get rid of his bad habit. Even though he thinks about suicide he realises Aarohi needs him. If he commits suicide Aarohi will be alone. So, he doesn't commit suicide and tries to regain his position as a music director in Hindi film industry. He understands suicide is not the solution of his problem.
