Also how could Basit forget that he’s kicked Ayesha out? Very understandable that he misses her but how could he just forget? I don’t assume it’s been that long? Does this scene portray how Basit has become so habituated to his wife?

Why do Ayesha and Fahad decide that it is a good idea to meet alone in a car after all of Basit’s allegations upon them?

Finally Bano and Fahad meet and he can get busy with Bano 😉

I’ll try to predict the sequence of events which we may see:

I think that Qudsia will go to meet Basit where he will tell her if his decision to divorce Ayesha. Qudsia at this point will not want to loose her favourite son in law and will finally tell him the truth, which he may not fully believe. Bano will then go to Fahad, who will call up Basit and tell him everything from his perspective. After which, Basit will go to Ayesha’s house where she will refuse to go back with him and on his way back Basit will meet with an accident. I don’t think that the accident will be a serious one, what do you guys think?

I think Ayesha looks tired in this pic...like she didn't get a good night's rest while Basit looks really fresh and ready for the day. I think Ayesha was watching over Basit for much of the night and perhaps Basit slept well that night. So she has this air of quiet satisfaction though she maybe slightly tired out. Basit on the other hand is back on his feet once again. He is able to take on the tasks of the office with a steady mind. In this scene I did feel Ayesha is making an effort to get his attention. The way she has clearly taken a lot of trouble to get dressed...and then as you said poor thing has to compete with Karim for his attention! 😆 But maybe Basit leaving abruptly is his kneejerk reaction to feeling an attraction towards his wife. And perhaps the decision to bring those flowers later were him trying to do damage control for not showing his appreciation for the way she was looking at breakfast that day...but of course that didn't work out the way either he or us fans wanted it to...

And Basit of course forgot about the good morning kiss.

Not only do Fahad and Ayesha meet in the car but it is parked in what looks like a lovers' point...I really hope this is Basit having a nightmare...otherwise Ayesha is on a deliberate path to sabotage her marriage.

And yesss...I am really looking forward to the first one on one conversation between Fahad and Bano. Although they will be discussing Ayet, nonetheless...

My prediction is also something similar...Btw Basit with his hair all messed up by the wind looks so cool! ☺️

I just loved this scene! I think it shows a very innocent aspect of Basit's character. That he is habituated to Ayesha's presence is clear here. But also that while he got insanely angry at her and threw her out, at this moment, possibly after having dinner, freshened up.and relaxed, he forgets that. He had been brooding about it all day even at office and after returning home when he sits in the kitchen. But now when he is feeling a bit relaxed and possibly not thinking about the argument...he instinctively wants Ayesha. And there was a slight laugh at the beginning when he asks for Ayesha...like he was perhaps reading something funny on the Internet and wanted to share it with her.

While I am in complete agreement that Basit’s reaction is valid, yes it is, and that Ayesha has been stupid not to tell him, yes she has, but I will forever have a problem with Basit’s response.

The ease with which men are shown to throw women out of homes, is a pet peeve of mine in desi soaps. Every time, this is done, we seem to be “showing the woman her place”. If the situation was flipped, she would be shown to leaving the home. So in the end, this home was never her’s then. This is a huge slash to a woman’s sense of security. Women are told to make the man’s house a home, only to be then pushed off, when there is a MU.

For me, we all seem to understand Basit’s reaction because he was right in that, on one hand, Ayesha was being secretive and on the other, he never showed any patience towards women given his background with his mother. Ayesha on the other hand, had no trust in Basit, because she was never given that status in his life, that she was constantly seeking. Ayesha was not allowed to work, she was made to stay home and now she is thrown out of that home, in a way to show she has no rights over that home.

To me where the writing has completely failed -

1. had they shown the couple actually coming closer post the death and the graveyard visit, we would have gotten a better understanding of the status quo of their feelings toward each other.

2. Had they written this conflict better, Ayesha’s refusal to tell Basit would not make her look like a fool, which she has never been throughout the show.

It’s unfortunate that while the shows supporting characters and the male character has some clarity, the writer has messed up the female character.

what’s worse, there are lots of direction flaws - chopped shots during breakfast, repeated dialogues that go no where, illogical interactions frankly just kill the enjoyment of a good show.

So sorry, still in the process of reading everyone’s inputs. But wanted to put down my thoughts

Agree with all the points you mentioned for failed writing.

Bold :- Spot on ... this is something bothers me too... be it real or reel, this exactly has been the case.. in episode I am totally on basit side coz I found ayesha's whole mission to chhupao zoya shadi was foolish... she herself gave basit reasons to doubt her but that allows basit to throw her out?

No,a big let down it is 👎🏼

The way I want ayesha to realize that she was wrong, here basit too needs to realize what he has done in anger...
