Re: Karan-Megha....bhai kuch toh baat hogi that Gul and SP broke their own rule of recasting pairs together on the same channel😆

So yes, the fact that they weren't overexposed as a pair in their previous show together and didn't do like 300-500 epis together or keep doing music videos afterwards probably helped their case in makers considering them to be cast together.

I just wish they weren't trying to pass Megha off as an 18 year old in this story😆. It really wasn't needed and the world wouldn't end if they showed her in her 20s😆....but oh well😆.

Karan-Megha were frankly the saving grace of this epi for me and if I continue watching, it will be for them only while zoning out the faltu baggage of the previous season😆

Haha, the ending lines especially😆 Truth be told, I am a little iffy about the two sisters trope which is an offset of the previous season, but I can live with it because they aren't portraying the evil sister in a good light...she seems to be an arrogant one straight away. Characters in shades of grey work only in literature and not ITV. I prefer them to be in black and white here😆

The hero is a DJ, so I guess the story line will be of the evil sis being a fan-girl and deigning herself and herself alone to be worthy of her idol while he falls for the simple, sweet sister😆 This is such a common trope but I am hoping the performances and execution make it worthy. And judging from the BGM, it does!🤣

@bold: Sadly so true....lol boy did we learn this the hard way for Adi-Imlie's story....ITV audience isn't capable of comprehending actual literature.

Yeah, I'm not expecting much complexity in the story honestly....bas dhang ki acting kar lein and achha OST bajaa dein, woh bhi bahut hoga😆

Btw just saw that Gul is listed as the SHOW RUNNER in the credits.....We are in a BRAVE NEW WORLD, folks....Gul hasn't put herself up as anything but producer in most of her previous shows😆....but Imlie2 is going to be all PURE GUL VISION😆

Absolutely, NM ji...I mean, we had actresses like Sakshi, Shweta Tiwari et al who were SOOO good. Leave alone the leads, even the ensemble actors could actually act. They had the ability to deliver even in the cliched plotlines of K soaps and managed to wrangle millions of fans across the subcontinent with their performances, dialogue delivery, screen presence.

Ironically Sumbul T has potential judging from the village clips I watched from the compilation, but she couldn't manage to sustain later because she is too young and needs more experience. It didn't help that she looked like a child even in the last episode of the pre-leap that I watched😆 Rather than buying into the HAAWTT chemistry, I wanted to pull her cheeks and get her to doing her homework🤣

Anyways, ST has moved on so hopefully she will find a path to her liking. And Megha brings freshness to this show for now😊

OHHH BOYYY. We are in a brave new world, indeed. Looks like Gul is fed up with her current crop of writers/show-runners and is taking matters into her own hands🤣 Let's see where she takes us😆

And ya, as the years pass by I am just adjusting my expectations to ITV accordingly🤔😆 So let's see.

Oh ST has wonderful command over her dialogues and the lingo for the first half we used to appreciate it a lot she had a lot of tehraav too .infact her unique voice was one of the very few things we noticed at first..sadly she couldn't keep up with it caz jaaniya happened but hey credit where due

Definitely, not bad for the 1st episode indeed despite the typical family side melodrama. There is subtleness and the dupatta over the face wasn't that OTT. Although I did find Atharva blocking the streets as a singer slightly bit chuckle-worthy, but still there is chemistry. Make-up's decent too.

OST's pretty good too. I'm liking it!

Lol, though Rupi didi is back, but the whole premonition scene felt bit comical for some reason. 😆Can't anticipate much as to what's going to be the aftermath but let's see.

Randomly just wondering if these are two separate OSTs they merged into one for this scene. 🤔

Bairi Piya might be the female OST and Maahiya might be the male OST with separate lyrics?

There was an abrupt cut right after the Jogiya part that made it seem like they flipped to a different song and not just a different portion of the same song.

I did see the jump to the male singer singing the Maahiya part when Atharva looked back to see whose dupatta it was. It did feel bit different as opposed to continuation after the chorus sings the jogiya part.
