So from what I gather so far from the more neutral reviews i’ve read - the VFX was really good, Big B was impressive and it’s truly worth applauding what Bollywood has tried to do. On the flip side, it looks like it was massively let down by really poor dialogues and storytelling and the general consensus is that this is Alia’s worst acting since SOTY.

I highly doubt it. Ranbir is the main lead. If they do make part he will Dev. He invested a decade of his life into this movie which was a risky project from the get-go. There is no reason why he should step aside and let someone else reap the benefits of his labor
