I watched the movie today and agree with every bit of it!

I guess they spent all the money in VFX (and stars salary), so they couldn't afford a decent writer?

I completely agreed. First few 15-20 minutes they just ruined the character of vanar astra with stupid dialogs..no depth or comedy. It's cringe fest. The only thing I liked is special effects as they are very grandeur like Hollywood. I am hoping it will further improve in next parts.

Bollywood, as a whole, needs to step up on writing. This film is no exception. Wish they invested ore in writers and editors. It's such an important part of the filmmaking process.

I like this review...it resonates with lot of public opinion of this movie that I have read so far. its balanced and not outright negative or sugar coating anything. I wont be able to catch the movie until next weekend so lets hope I dont come across any major spoilers.

vfx is an enhancer, writing is the core

do we even know or remember any writer's name after salim-javed, even the director sidelined

bw currently doesnt have writers who are steeped in indian ethos, roots or even mythology for such themes

as anurag kashyap said they are all sobo types who think it is possible if they see it done by hollywood

they think in english and translate

even if they get them like chandraprakash dwivedi the star system spoils it

in tv the prithviraj, mahabharat series has better writers

they have to look out of their circles and living rooms to find them, but these ppl are condescending to anybody who is non-elite

I was genuinely surprised with the vfx, my expectations was in hell but with 3D they were pretty convincing. Good signs for BW in this aspect at least

someone on twitter wrote that felt like watching a laser show lmaooo
