I agree. Something has to come out of this, which will give Sai that rope that ties her back to him. She is too strong that ways to go weak on morals. She would rather endure pain all her life than give into temptations and calls of heart when she knows against her ethical calls.
For her to return, it is not just the clarifications on what he said or did that day before she left, it will be his marriage as well. P being his wife only make things worse. But even if it was someone else she would never stake any claims on him. P is going to add betrayal to hurt for Sai.
I have used "Betrayal" in conjunction with, V& P and Marriage. And just want to dive into this "Betrayal" a little more. Picking up a part from what I mentioned in today's review. Sai not considering P as V's wife.
Let's go back to our discussions around Sai's trust issues and V's discomfort when connected with P before leap. Sai's trust on V was strong. Whenever she spoke about P it was not that she didn’t trust V, but her fear in P's capability at manipulation. However, V was insecure and defensive whenever Sai mentioned P. He would always address it from an angle as if he has to justify Sai for any actions when it was related to P. He felt that Sai didn't trust him, and still nursed a insecurity with his past with P. And hence, he always avoided those conversation. This has been a major disconnect they had. With how V fell for P's game during surrogacy only peaked her fears. It was never about V going after P, but P getting back into V's good books and then plan another attack on them.
Coming to present day, when Sai knows that P's route was clear, and she could easily set out to get what she always wanted, it never occurs to her that V can marry P. That is her trust in V.
Betrayal is on trust she placed that she had that he will not get manipulated to this extent. V's fear will be around Sai misunderstanding him. Because he will connect it back to his assumption that Sai was insecure about P, and believed that she can still stir feelings in V. And with the current state of affairs it will only become impossible to make Sai believe otherwise.
Whereas, for Sai it is not about him falling in love with P. The betrayal lies in his words "Do you think I will ever forgive the woman who tried to harm you". It will be about him forgiving and accepting a woman as his wife (even if fake) who conspired and ruined their lives. He held that woman above her even in her death. And there is nothing here that V is in love with P. There is a sign there in her conversation with UM after Jagtap leaves. Despite everything she can never compare V with Jagtap.
Again another twisted theory.
