Yes, it definitely feels like she wants control. I felt the reason she so quickly accepted Simran was that she wanted to get close to Adi. I had written in another post of mine, Adi is the only obstacle for Supreet in the house. Daarji trusts her and takes her suggestions. Ambar is totally under her control. It's only Adi who has been resisting her. Once that is cleared, she can rule the house.

She probably knew someday Adi would return. After all, he is the eldest son of the family. Ofcourse, there could be something more we are not aware about. GKT was from a rich family and Supreet was working as Ambar's secretary. She definitely knew GKT. So there is lot we don't know.

She has no importance in that house. Neither does her husband. She uses Adi's anger against Supreet to keep her in check. Now Adi is taking over the business and she thinks Ginni will take over the house. Now she will be extra bitter.

Yes, they either became friends later or they were friends from before. In both cases, Supreet definitely betrayed GKT.
