Plus a batsman who was in form coming into this tournament. Also, until the Pak game, India had never lost a T20 with Hooda in the team.

DK unfortunately lost his spot because Jadeja (the designated left handed floater) went out and everyone else is a right hander. Could've probably tried Axar to keep DK, if they really wanted to.

Arshdeep is so good in death maybe they should use him like Umar Gul.

Tbh most of our players (esp batsmen) in our team rn are either out of form or inconsistent. It honestly feels like a haphazardly put together team

I feel like ppl underestimate the Asian teams a lot but fail to see how most of them have evolved so much and/or are constantly evolving.

For India, I often feel like it's the opposite. There's a sort of... stagnancy in our team that makes me so wary and frustrated. There's so much potential but it's like no one is willing to use their brains to properly cash on it.

Or maybe they don't wanna experiment or risk anything. They just wanna stay in their safety net forever. Idk.

Honestly not sure why it happens- maybe a function of the kick off time and the climatic conditions, but it's a definite trend.
