Honestly I never got attached to the characters as I started watching mid-way and after Arylie marriage they dumbed down Aryan so much that if Fahmaan was not playing Aryan, I woundnt even watch the show.

On paper, Aryan is the epitome of a selfless lover, a great mentor, a caring husband but post marriage he is shown as a person without brains and about Imlie, the less said the better.

I am a big romance novel reader and I remember once I asked in the book club why don't writers write a generational story and I got the answer that readers won't like their favourite characters to die but here on itv it's done on a daily basis.

Initially makers spend so much time and energy to establish a couple just to kill them off cruelly later. They actually don't give a f*ck what they are showing, what message is going out, who is winning; all they care about is their ego and money.

It's very PH, not just GK and honestly after seeing so many shows over ten years I'm used to it now 🤷‍♀️

The worst part of the show (almost all ITV shows actually) is that the audience feedback is never even considered. The actors and the team do put in their efforts but it is the audience who make the show popular, shower their love and support to it.However, they are used and thrown away as tissue papers as if they don't even exist.

I thought that I would not rant about it,but since you guys are discussing I will share my opinion. How many times have the audience requested the makers for a proper male antagonist? It's as if they are allergic to them. So what if AKT is not there, they could have brought a business rival and weaved the story around it. Since they are so obsessed with triangles why not make it two guys and one girl instead of the other way round. Even when people wanted Malini to be back they expected some crisp storyline but all we got was another baccha shoved down our throats, that too after the immediate end of a disastrous baccha track. They rushed through tracks instead of giving us the slow burn romance and then started telling that their is no story left to tell. After the leap initially the pace was good and just when we were loving the episodes they leaked the generation leap news. AryLie never got moments of peace or happiness. One episode a track ends, the next episode another one starts. At least give them a breather!.

As if all this was not enough now they would die at the hands of that Criminal whereas she would go unpunished for all the crimes committed. Fantastic!

For example In Qubool Hai each time there was a leap she made the villains win and kill the Main characters. It’s just so frustrating like how can Characters like Arylie get killed by Malini? Make it make sense…like those 2 are strong and smart but they will lose by malini?! Just boils my blood…..not to forget the whole point of the Drama was to show Imlie winning in life and breaking the barriers and shackles of society to be free….but instead they are making the whole drama into a sadistic satire about how the evil always wins no matter how much the good tries…..Sitara sucks even more!! They had such good shows back in 2011-2012 with new ideas and stories but 10 years later they are stuck in a place where every show is sisters or women fighting for 1 man….or women just giving birth and being married into horrible in laws…..like come on it’s 2022 ffs 🤦‍♀️ and you guys still showing shit like it’s the 1990s!

Anyway Sorry in advance if anyone is offended, but I just wanted to say it 😭

I am not offended on reading your post. In fact, I agree with everything you have said. I personally can't watch toxic shows. All of us have our own personal issues. We watch tv shows/movies to be entertained or as a form of escapism. In most Indian shows, evil win most of the time. Good only wins at the end. In our case, this will not even happen! But people still turn up to watch these shows. I did not watch Imlie pre Aryan's entry. But I read that the show used to fetch TRPs of around 3. My conclusion is that there is an audience for this negativity. How will society evolve or get better if we subject people to this type of entertainment?

For those of us who want change, we should stop tuning in to watch these shows. Look at Indian movies with supposedly big stars...the audience has grown tired of the content being shown and this is now reflected in the box office numbers.

I understand that the previous FD got heartbroken at the treatment of their story. Now it's our turn. Imlie 2.0 will have it's own set of audience and history will repeat. This happens because we let it happen. Honestly, the only reason I started watching Imlie is because of Fahmaan's portrayal of Aryan. I would be walking about while my mother was watching the show, and there was something about the intensity of Aryan which just pulled me in. I couldn't stand the character of AKT, and would tell my mum that Arylie should be the end game. The episode which made me watch all Arylie episodes is the one where Aryan tells Imlie 'main tumhe apne rang mein rang dunga... sar se paon tak , aise rang dunga tumhe ki koi past koi daag koi aur tumhe nazar tak nahi aayega'. What a powerful scene! Words can never do justice to that scene. I will carry that moment and characters with me forever.

But I am also taking a big lesson from this show. Stay away from Indian shows from channels like SP. I love romance, and I truly believe that no one does romance better than Indian shows. Unfortunately, the romance will always be accompanied by toxic characters or storylines. Exception will be some wonderful shows on Sony. This is my personal opinion.

The last bad experience I had with SP was MHRW. That show also ended abruptly, and the writers lost the plot along the way. Most shows can only give us about 100 good episodes. Then, the writers start destroying their own creation for the sake of TRP. So, as a customer, I have understood that these sellers cannot cater to my needs. I am content with Netflix, and the feel good movies and shows there.

Yaar don't you know fans are celebrity-obsessed hormonally charged pankhis who can't see that a show is the bread and butter of 150 households 😡

Fans and viewers are the LEAST importance link in a shows hierarchy and next comes the actors. Even actors are easily replaceable

Actually I was saying the same thing about Bollywood. That how they are failing because of not listening to the audience and creating shitty content or just recycling the same things over and over again.
I know there are many people who loves what are shown in ITV right now. But I believe soon ITV will go through the same thing as Bollywood, losing audience. Only because of not changing according to the time and need for new content. Specially because of OTT platforms and Web series. I just hope Makers of ITV learns to change within times and maybe try to show different things and maybe they can stay afloat.

You know I really don't know what happened to the writers of ITV. How can they themselves not see what they are writing? Or don't they read what they write? The most illogical track till now IMO was the Jo track. Who shows the FL pregnant the very next episode of confession? What outcome did come out of that track? What was the need of that storyline know one would know.

That track was a disaster on all fronts. That is where the baccha drama started. It neither pleased the online audience nor the TRP audience. The show kept going in and out of top 5 from that track, for the first time in 1.5 yrs it went out of Top 5,lost slot leadership and got a TVR of below 2.0.

Girl tell me about it!! 😲 I was so sure there was a few months leap or I was confused lol 😆 because I was like wtf is this? Also I was confused if they even did it or not 😂 and she is pregnant the next episode? Anyway I had to come to IF to know what the heck was going on …….but yeah idk what the makers drink or smoke because ain’t no way these people are of sound mind and writes and creates shit (no offense) like some dramas I hear about. I swear to god I thought ITV was better. Until I saw Sitara remaking every single Bengali Show ( am Bengali family watches all those “creative dramas” 🙄) like ffs people create original story. Without showing Sisters fighting for a man. Women loving cheating man. Women getting abused. Women just crying and going through abuse even after having jobs and education. Women coming back to shitty partners. Man marrying 50 times. Couples divorcing 50 times and then getting remarried. Couples separating for decades and then getting back together just to go through the same shitty things all over again. Man getting stuck between wife and mom. Man just staying home even though they have business and jobs to take care of….and like million other things.🤢

like Jesus wake up people and look around and see the world. It’s 2022 and people don’t want to watch meme content. Literally people makes fun of these dramas and it’s logic and writers and makers still recycle these. I really hope they start creating content that will make them proud and not memes 😆

I somehow watched today's episode. Imli deciding to leave for PD with just two tickets by Malini? Really?

Anyways, Imlie decides to leave, with emotional drama of Ms Sugar. And Ms Sugar falling unconscious and ending up in hospital. It was expected. Malini didi was the most intelligent to guess about Ms Sugar. I am happy they are not planning to redeem Malini. But it is heart breaking to think that evil wins over the good at the end. Even if goodness wins, it will be the last 2 minutes of last episode that no one will remember. (I mean reconciliation of AryLie will be for last 2 minutes and they breathe their last together, maybe) And I believe its common in ITV.

IF article is being played out fully. Sugar will act like getting influenced by Malini, but will side with team Imlie at the end. After all a daughter is always more intelligent and sharp than mother. So Sugar will be most probably the reason for Malini PF this time.

Of all these things, I wonder why Imlie's good news is not yet out? It has been two days and as per ITV next day news should be out. Or they changed their plan for Cheeku 2.0 and character assassination of Imlie? Then how come two sisters will be there in S2? And the whole story is about two sisters, right? And most importantly IF article talked about Cheeku 2.0

This is the end track, I believe. Still Cheeku 2.0, 9 months leap and tragedy hitting AryLie not yet started. And we have just 10 days maybe left. I wonder whether we will have a proper end.

PS: Most probably this will be the last episode I am discussing in forum. I thought over my obsession with a fictional couple and this is happening second time (I started Imlie to overcome my sadness of abrupt ending of SAAKK and ShaKhi and now I am more heart broken. ShaKhi had a happy ending at least and here we expect a sad ending of AryLie). OFC I promised myself to not start watching any shows to overcome AryLie obsession.

I have come to a conclusion that my real life with a romantic and clingy husband, naughty teenager son, a non toxic family, and a peaceful and responsible position in office is more entertaining than any fictional show and I have decided to give it more time and chance than fictional shows, so that I find peace and solace with my own life.

OFC I made many friends, many memories and shared many view points on and off the show. I will be here for the written updates and if anything interesting twist for a happy end is there, I will be happy to be back.

Happy weekend and have a fun RWSP with our bacha-bachi
