these OTT platforms are not going to pay that much going forward, it is only until they gain monopoly

they have destroyed theater market for small films anyway, now they have to sell to them

also they will slowly have enough data to guage the success of films and will pay accordingly

In a country where a good chunk of population is below the poverty line, 250 crores for 4 movies that too flop ones? Where is all this money coming from and where is it going?

this is like those clueless investments vcs make in start ups with massive valuations where they have no idea of the market in india

netflix and amazon executives from US land in mumbai socialize with the kjo types there and pay these amounts without any idea of local conditions

will become like that disney and all international studios who came to india and could'nt sustain

amazon may still be there because it is huge but netflix not sure, nobody will shell out that much for subscriptions

zee, sony liv will last as they know the market

also like uber, ola which were cheap before and scaled prices later

the OTT platforms will now show their muscle as small -medium movies cannot go to theater now

I don't think the quoted budgets are real.
