So someone younger wouldn't have enough fan base to give enough time so that characters, story and pair is accepted by the Audience.

Take example of Radha mohan of zee in 8 pm slot, it rose from 0.8 to 1.8 trp in natural progression because Shabbir has a fandom it gave them time to stabilize and story to unfold.

Maybe Ph ko prime time ka slot retain krna hai , so cant end it flat out.. , but Gul doesn’t really care about Arylie .. hence she doesn’t wanna keep their story running .. then the only way is to retain Sumbul and start a new story in the name of s2, without actually ending the show 🤷‍♀️.. the 8:30 slot also stays with the ph then

So if she wants to keep the slot till she can come up with a new show them also it makes no sense to take a gen leap given the current position of storyline. It can easily and successfully run with arylie as long or as short they want it.

She's doing it for who knows what reason, and she's hurting herself the most with this, fans will move on in a few days and most of them wouldn't tune into her shit ever again.

She has to recover from financial and reputation loss.

Also shouldn't the storyline matter and not the stars portraying this story? This theory was expounded by Gul Mata herself based on the tweets she posted attacking Arylie, Sumaan and Fahmaan fans when she announced the generation leap. Even that Bajaoman jumped in to support her point of view.

How is the overall storyline, acting, cinematography, etc though? Are there no other factors that could have contributed to this increase and not just the male lead's popularity alone? If fan popularity was so significant shouldn't other shows like YRKKH with the very popular Harshad be topping instead of wallowing around the 2.0 mark with the Imlie's and the Banni Chow's. That show was already around the 2.0 TRP mark before Harshad's entry and continues to be around there even with him.

My point was, the story needs time to unfold in natural manner in order to have impact on trps. What i meant was the popularity of actors brings in initial Audience and as the story unfolds better, words is spread and trp increases.

I have not watched that show, but just checked it has 8.2 IMDb ratings and 4.6 Google ratings.
