Like imagine who wants to watch step sister bigamy in same show twice within one year, given that there's no dearth of that trope already in ITV you'll find 2 shows with same concept on every damn channel.

the current lot of the Arylie fd will somehow make peace ..and move on.. what else can we do anyways .. and if the new ML has any genuine credibility, maybe some of the older fd and the trp audience may even tune in to give him an initial chance ..

trying to put a dampner on s1 end , to boost s2 ka ML is pretty freaking high hopes .. her wanting to bring it Aryan se better ckt .. and FK se better actor .. veryyyy longgg shot lady ..

Arylie fd ,for sure , will still not watch s2 😄 that includes me too😛 Started watching with FK’s entry , will leave with his exit .. 🫶🏼

Aryans character was accepted because of multiple reasons -

1. Fahman has done it brilliantly .. of course character was conceived beautifully

2. I was watching this show initially and Flip Flops of Aditya ( continuous lying) was something that pissed me off and so stopped watching it.. it was way way way before makers actually started ruining his character.. so his character was kind of not so perfect from beginning, but the actor playing Aditya was good

3. Actor who replaced original Aditya was really bad..his scenes were completely intolerable.

4. Earlier, Imlie has to paired against a new person, so old person Ka character assassination Kiya Gul ne.. here she is talking about generation leap.. so pairing is for new character( even if it's played by Sumbul) overall.. there won't be comparison be Aryan and new lead - different gen. Comparison will be overall performance - the swag ASR bright with him, his style, his power, his charm.. everything about him his amazing. Right now only thing Gul want is to end this one.. she can end it gracefully as in Aryan Imlie unite in saving Chini , consummate, Chiku 2 is born , but then something happens and they die and then season 2.

Seriously there is no need even for Gul to make Aryan question Imlies character and ruin everything for viewers 😏😏

But you see.. this is ITV.. they can show anything.. whatever they wish. It's a myth that viewers choice matters.

Anyway, to address your statement about a happy Cheeku, do you realise that that is an alien concept to ITV. There is no way we could ever have a happy female lead. She will have to go through some kind of hardship and trauma for audiences to support her and root for her. Viewers love seeing how the female lead overcomes her hardships.

Also , to be honest I think Gul has a basic template for this show and is and will continue to use it going forward.

Like you said that basic template being a love triangle between two step sisters and some male lead.

I know this concept has already been done so many other times in the past but I think will continue to be done with varying levels of success going forward.

See i agree that it can work with any new show that's not the point.

Here though, they can't end arylie on bad note because Malini has already broken imlie's first marriage, if she breaks this also, what kind of msg would the show be giving?

That would just mean malini was FL all along, and justify all her criminal activities.

They've a moral responsibility of showing good triumph over evil at the end.

Not to mention they need phasing in for new characters, no gen leap works without connection with characters.

Audience has connected to cheeni positively seeing arylie love for her, now they can't make cheeni FL and arylie daughter as 3rd angle in whatever love triangle story she's cooked, what kind of message would that be?

I'm saying this because sumbul recently got appreciated for playing imlie and giving hope to lots of victims of forced marriages in remote parts of odisha and nearby states with tribal background by a rural welfare organization.

And any kind of entertainment can't go against basic societal beliefs of giving hope and triumph of FL after all difficulties, specially when imlie already has one bad ending with Aditya
