I have no idea when Ram began to think Priya is materialistic. It just doesn't make sense. She was the same person who wouldn't let him spend money on her even when they were married . The writers are killing the characters they wrote one episode at a time.

That child always assumes Ram to be the villain when in reality he has been wronged by her mother in a horrible way. Priya stays silent and diverts the topic. But diverting the topic will not change Pihu’s mind about Ram. If Pihu was in that mature state to assess the situation she wouldn’t have forgiven Priya either just like Priya did with MM in the jail. Priya’s father left her coz he was a horrible man who dumped his wife and family but Pihu lost a father who would have loved her immensely coz of her mother. Their intent was never to ‘do what they did’ just that it came across as such and they lie ‘cause they had to’ and they did ‘try to say the truth multiple times, the opposite party never listens’ and it gets solved by like I said earlier: Chuha, billi, kutta, sher, sawa sher, whatever 🤷‍♀️….

He very well knows she isn't...deep down he does. But the man has no control over his emotions and his words when he is angry...especially when it has to do with Nandu ma! And basically he is so hurt and angry with Priya that he lashes out and says things he does not mean. Hurt people hurt people...so goes the saying, especially if they have not dealt with their hurt. Which is true for Ram. He has not come to terms with anything that happened 5 years back and Priya is the main culprit in his eyes.
