Check out Ushna’s tweet about the raised hand scene. She says that Ayesha will not fall for his charms unless he gives a heartfelt apology.

So I guess it is safe to say that we will get a good apology in the next episode!

I guess was thinking of work and Habs, and I ended up thinking of this when I woke up, or right before I woke up.

What about an internal or external auditor, process excellence / innovation and development type of a role for Ayesha? She could lead that. Or do that after her studies?

As an equal partner in his or any company she needs to bring something to the table. So what could that be? I don't even know what kind of business he runs actually 😆

From what I understood, he has a textile business. He does talk about leather in one of the episodes. Qudsia also mentioned to Amir’s family that Basit has a textile factory.

I think at this point we all agree that Ayesha needs to work for her sense of self, her family and to maintain a healthy relationship with Basit. Also Basit rather than preventing her should encourage her to make something of herself.

Noticed your conversations on intimacy and consummation scenes.

I do think it will be made clear to us when their relationship had advanced to the next level and that it will be shown in a nice romantic old style way.. Like the old days with blurry screens and an umbrella to hide the scenes where they would be supposedly kissing 😆

I am ok not to rush these things. It should happen because they are married and now they can or should. But because they both want to. Because they want to be with each other and openly choose each other too.

If I go back to their wedding night.. Poor Basit seems to have never dated a woman in his life before.. He wants to comfort her indeed and has not decided yet to go to his room, which is now theirs or sleep in the guest room.. He had not even thought past the wedding ceremony till he saw the flower arrangements in his room to welcome Ayesha.. Pressure and anxiety feelings were too much for him..

Ayesha is trying to do what she thinks is expected now. She sits on the bed, being pretty waiting for husband to come in. To talk and see what comes next. She is nervous and perhaps does not know yet if she wants this or not, but when he doesn't show up, I think there the disappointment and (self) doubts kick in.. Why he didn't come? Am I not attractive? Perhaps that explains her dream as well, where she asks him how do I look? She wants to hear him say yes you are beautiful and perhaps the fear or expectation kicks in of him giving her divorce.

He needs to court her, date her.. They need to fall in love. I think now they are only getting used to each other a bit. Getting to know each other..

I really liked Ayesha founding out his child side through his drawings and letters.. I want them to know each other better..

Why are they trying to justify it ? It's better if they refrain from showing anything close to toxic bec audience r too much against fk , they won't even consider what basit is .

It's strange they nitpick only this in their shows (I agree the toxicity levels in some shows hit the roof and the raising hand could be avoided ) , I mean just this particular incidence is highlighted , while they never complain about the emotional abuse that is so common in families.... How a mil humiliates her dil, woh bhi ka dikhaye. How girls or boys plot non stop , force their so-called love when they know the other person isn't interested .how elders can be forgiven for anything ... Constant humiliation by the relatives..if we leave out such scenarios we will be left with nothing .

And nobody really understands gray isn't it ? They should either be heros or villains , nothing in between . Hero ke bhi standards r like higher than the gods. Heroines get a free pass because they r women . Whether they normalize it or romanticize it depends on the execution ..phir sabko villain ya vamp dikhao . shows mei depression aur drama khatam toh hota hi nai . Whatever is left , I dunno what's left that can be called entertainment . Apna Content sahi karo na

Oh I missed that or forgot about it. Thanks for letting me know. So what if they become partners somehow or she gets to lead some team and she decides to work more closely with Qudsia?

I hope Basit will understand and motivate her, to not do job and settle with that but go study, as she wanted to do and get some other position or start her own company / work for herself.

Having said that, there is nothing wrong with being a Personal Assistant. In fact, they are managing their Bosses.. And that is quite a task..!

I agree with you! Consummation should only happen once they’re both comfortable and secure with each other. Both Ayesha and Basit seem inexperienced in matters of love and romantic relationship. Basit’s nervousness in the scene where he stops Fahad from leaving is kinda adorable ☺️.

I am amazed at your interpretation of Ayesha’s dream. I think Basit turning up so late and barely making an effort to talk would’ve reinforced some insecurities in Ayesha, especially to do with whether Basit finds her attractive, I think we may see an exploration of her insecurities in the upcoming episodes (especially if Soha was to come back😒). Basit would need to step up then and be the husband he proclaims himself to be.

I would also like for both of them to feel secure in the relationship, especially Ayesha. I remember this one episode in which she tells Sadia that she doesn’t feel like Mrs. Basit Salman Khan. I would like for her to own this title in the near future.

What do you guys think?

This seems like a very intense fight. What do you think this is about? Is Basit pissed at Ayesha or is it the other way around? Maybe she’s been angry at him and he’s tired of trying to explain himself?

Basit yelled at Zoya for breaking his perfume bottle.. Zoya yelled at Basit for breaking up her relationship.. Boy.... Basit does not kid around right? smiley36 ok ok Kidding..!!

Qudsia has indeed made a mantra out of it in praising Basit and promoting him to son and man of the house. I wonder why Qudsia does this and talks down on women in that sense.. She herself has raised the 3 girls and provided, one way or another.. Bano did not always work.. So how did Qudsia managed then?

Wondering when the dad passed away.
What you said - wow I remember thinking that too.. Like, ok.. no bargaining nothing.. You might have a point that she is just not so good with how to spend the money.. I think she is taking into account dowry requests for Zoya and Bano - if ever required.. or.... save it for a rainy day, when the girls are all married or run away from home and she left by herself.. I notice I am trying to look for something positive in this lady, but I am not liking her much.. actrice is really good..

Off topic - are you strangely also looking forward for the weekend to be over, only so that Tuesday can come soon? smiley36

hehehe!! Nowadays toh my week revolves around Tuesday 😆

Btw I have a theory about how Qudsia raised her three daughters. Qudsia herself is uneducated. When the courier came from Bano's office, she could not even read the letter. She called Zoya to do that. I have a feeling the dad had left them some money. With that money Qudsia ran the household for as long as she could. Once the money ran out, Bano started working. I think Zoya is the one who remembers her father the least so maybe she was very young at the time of his passing.

I don't think Qudsia has kept any savings for her daughters though if she has kept a fund for herself, then I have to say I would really find her contemptible.

Btw that observation about Basit responding to Zoya breaking his perfume bottle by breaking her rishta was too good!!! 🤣 I wonder if we ever will get a scene where Basit sits down and talks to Zoya or even Bano... as a friend, as their brother.

@Rishu 🤗🤗🤗

Yes, money can definitely change the dynamics in a relationship, especially one between a married couple. Or anything else that gives power, the upper-hand.. Sometimes, we don't even realize it.
For example, Basit has fame, status, money and smoking hot good looks. He is also sort of socially awkward. It seems he only knows how to interact with his dad and friend. And he has commitment issues.

Ayesha is beautiful, bright and intelligent, independent, ambitious. Sometimes a pleaser and a know-it-all.. She does not care much for money, only that it is a necessity and she would like to earn her own way and take care of her family.

So, yes..money can and will change the dynamics (not the chemistry) but I think that Ayesha has the power, which lies in whether she will stay with him or leave him. He will not allow divorce, but then again.. she can still leave.. we have seen his hand rise in anger.. or was that fear? was the word divorce a slap in his face and him raising his hand a reflex to self defense?

Hmm... perhaps I am pushing it too much and driving myself crazy in overthinking this.. It is 2 a.m. perhaps I should sleep 😆

I read a quote the other day, which made me think of Basit and Ayesha's relationship and current situation. Sharing the first part of it:

"Being too attached isn't a sign of love, but fear of loss. The ability to let go comes from being confident that what's meant for you is already yours..."

In place of too attached we could also say too controlling perhaps.. But.. feel free to share your thoughts..

The thing about the slap is, that scene was probably designed as such to emphasise why Basit realises he needs to make more of an effort to prove to Ayesha that he is serious about their relationship, why he realises just how much Ayesha is feeling lost in this relationship, his house. But I feel raising your hand to slap a person is an instinctive reaction, a form of expression of anger that I do not see as being aligned with Basit's basic character. Had he simply shouted at Ayesha like he did on the night of the reception for the envelope, Ayesha would have been just as disgusted and this time instead of simply crying, her walking out after telling him that he could not maintain the relationship by shouting at her or insulting her would have been sufficient. But that is my opinion. I guess the makers felt they needed to make it more dramatic so the viewers feel for Ayesha at that moment. Had she reacted similarly without the raised hand but just shouting, might have been seen as overreaction from Ayesha's end. That is what I feel, in terms of the decision of the director.

Love the quote. It is very true and so in tune with Basit's situation. Basit is hardly in love at the moment. He is too tied up in his fear of loss. But I want him to make the journey to the point when he is confident enough to let Ayesha out of the cage he has built for her. Where is the quote from Rishu? I love it...
