When I was a kid, and we got the cassette to Dil Se... as soon as it came out.. everyone loved Chaiyya Chaiyya but my jam was Jiya Jale... 🤗

It's only in the recent years when I discovered the beauty of Chaiyya... the lyrics... (the chaiyya chaiyya actually has meaning, I used to think they just making that sound for a catchy hook) 🤪

But my my most played track is Ae Ajnabi ❤️

I love the film, the performances, it's amongst Manisha and SRK's bestest work.. I love the ending too, especially because in those days I felt like everything was ending-happy.. (like Madhuri in Pukar, she shoulda died*)

wee guttersnipe — Dil Se Re from Dil Se (Hindi, 1998)

The cinematography is outstanding too, done by the magician Santosh Sivan 👍🏼

The themes within the movie, depicting the "seven shades of LOVE" from ancient Arabic literature:

(1) attraction,

(2) infatuation,

(3) love,

(4) reverence,

(5) worship,

(6) obsession,

(7) and death.

^ this type of madness appeals to me... 🤗

This movie shouldn’t have flopped

Mani lost his mojo after this

Chaiya chaiya was the original item song

Todays actresses best performances are pheeka in front of Manishas

It is the movie that made me invest time and emotions in Hindi Cinema (first concentrating on SRK, then on to movies & persons from the 50s on).

Since some time, it's also Indian Cinema, experiencing Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Marathi movies (the last one being RRR, a staunch cinema-theatre-event).

I love every song from Dil Se but the title song still has the most impact on me...starting with SRK's (Amarkanth's) "dil se".

This is such a memorable, cult film. I actually watched it for the first time just recently since I was very little when it originally came out in the theatres. SRK, Manisha Koirala and Preity Zinta were fantastic in the movie. The songs are still fresh in my head though, those were just awesome. A.R Rahman was phenomenal on the score 👏

Wish the cast and crew a very happy 24 years on the release of this film 👍🏼

I had a doll that danced to Chaiyya Chaiyya as a kid. 😆

The music...cinematography of the movie.. They don't make them like this anymore. Pure magic. 😭
