I don't understand 1 thing

If I don't like South Indian movies, I am chauvinistic?

I think South India is very educated and liberal as a population

But their movies suck. Literature, on d other hand, is very good from that region

Does that make me chauvinistic? d person who wrote that really is clueless

Based on standards at that time, yes it was a good thriller. You can watch.

I hope Bollywood should stop doing remakes from so called "worst/gross/cringe" South movies. Then so called "great" bollywood will disappear in no time as "great" bollywood can't survive without remakes from South. The present "great" bollywood is remakes gallore and filled with cring inducing item songs.

Yes. It's a low budget fresh story and content oriented movie.

It is better than part-2 I heard from many...

Part-2 I have not watched yet.

You didn't post you don't like south Indian movies.

You said they were crass, trash, and that the trashiest Bollywood movie was better than southern movies.

That, too, clearly without having watched the movies you mentioned by name.

Sorry, Minty. That smacks of horror at the invading brown masses. Hoping you didn't mean it that way, but it does come across rather distasteful.

BTW, South movies include Tamil and Malayalam movies, which are acknowledged world-class cinema.

Nobody can go massy and classy the way he does.

I felt the whole romance track was unnecessary (and kafi problematic). It just slowed the movie's pace.

I really liked his performance in Pushpa though 😎

Hopefully, the second part will be better.

Julayi had the craziest plot line. Too many twists and turns. Also, Ileana's character was so irritating.

I remember watching it after Barfi. Couldn't believe that it was the same actress 😆.

But you didn’t say you didn’t like them, you generalized and said RRR and Pushpa is crappy. If they’re so crappy then why did Bollywood’s number 1 actress Alia beg to have a flowerpot role in RRR and why’s she begging to be part of a song like Oo Antava? I don’t think so either Rajamouli, Ram Charan or Allu Arjun begged to be In Bollywood high class content, not they’ll ever beg.

I felt like the romance plot showed us a different and innocent part of Push, like he did all those naive things to be around her and then after the tragic humiliation in her house he accepts that maybe he won’t get anyone loving him as he’s an illegitimate child. However, Srivalli loved him just for the way he was, she was the push he needed to reighn supreme ❤️

His performance never disappoints me, people really don’t realize how good he’s because mostly his movies are action entertainers but the man hits the ball out of the park even with mere swag. I couldn’t believe he’s the same one who was my heart and soul crushing simp Arya and the same man did a Bantu and now Pushpa, in Pushpa he let go off the stylish image and did a 360 u turn, that helped him grow bigger, it’s not a RRR or Bahubali but an out an out Allu Arjun product that penetrated through pan India, maybe nobody except Rajnikanth, and now Allu Arjun have penetrated into 5-6 markets with humongous hits. Other than Rajni and Arjun, Rajamouli and Shankar did.

Julayi was worth watching because of the perfect comic punches but overall I didn’t like it, illeana didn’t even look like a heroine and the movie is still a crazy success, I don’t know why 🤣

I think nothing beats Race Gurram in terms of his action comedies, that movie is sth I can watch every day 🤣. That’s a perfect remake material in Hindi belt too, I’m surprised that Bollywood didn’t touch Race Gurram yet, ahh the songs ❤️

Also in South, even if stars come from filmy families they work extremely hard to get success, be it Dhanush, Ram Charan, NTR jr, Allu Arjun, or Daggubati, these guys give blood and sweat for the products, the hard work and effort shows unlike Bollywood where a wooden stick like Ananya pandey can get a liger without putting any effort or someone like papa ki beti Aliya can bag a role in RRR just because she wanted it.

There’s nothing wrong in disliking their movies, that’s a choice but then don’t watch and pay money for upcoming money spinners like Vikram Vedha or Shehzada, these movies are iconic for multiple reasons and Bollywood’s favorite heroes doing them.

I liked Arya1, Julayi and Race gurram,Happy,Parugu of AA

Well In julayi they showed hero himself comments how Madhu(Ileana) is underweight so it still worked eventhough she didn't look like a heroine there. 😆 Julayi is fun and entertaining and good music too.
