I have been trying to put together a serious post together for Gaumbi and what happened to him as a character, that doesn't mention nimboo paani lol. But I can't help it, the character has been so degraded it is really hard to not make fun of him.

I am trying to understand the mindset of the writers with respect to Gaumbi. He has he been reduced to Dhara's lap dog.

He used to be the most respected man in the family, and more respected than Dhara and Suman. Shiva left his education, not for Dhara but for Gaumbi. Dev used to consider Gaumbi his best friend, not Dhara. Krish always respected Gaumbi and actually called out Dhara for trying to be his mother. So what changed.

And I think I finally have an answer.

Gaumbi's role has definitely been reduced but I don't think he has been changed to such a degree that we would find jarring. The problem with his character is Dhara. Dhara has changed so much and is made too larger than life, that a simple and mature character like Gaumbi can't match up to that. Dhara is now the messiah, there is no way Gaumbi can ever be that because his character won't allow it.

Now Dhara's character shouldn't have been allowed to be as crazy as she is but the writers went there with her but they can't do that to Gaumbi. They have to show one of those 2 as the submissive and it can't be Dhara.

Dhara has become so nonsensical that every logical thing that Gaumbi says goes over her head. Gaumbi told her the night before to not try to mother Rishita's baby but she doesn't listen and then feels bad for some reason that a mother would want to take her of her own babym, than let Dhara take care of her.

It is because Gaumbi lets Dhara get away from all these things. Had Gaumbi been a little bit more stern with her and not given her carte blanche then maybe Dhara probably would've been salvageable. But that is not what they showed.

I really don't see any course correction with Gaumbi for the makers because they have lost the track with Dhara. They can't correct Dhara any more so Gaumbi is going to continue being the way he is. It is upsetting to watch because when I started watching the show, I really liked him. After Shiva Raavi and Krish, he was my favorite.

True.. During initial Haveli episode.. He was the man, everyone looked upon! Even Dhara.. Remember when he feed Raavi when she cooked & when everyone tried to feed him when Rishita insulted him.. What a wholesome scene that was! Gaura looked like couples who together completed a journey.. Now it looks like Dhara is a psycho who made all BILs psycho like her, kept Shiva under her leash completely & Gombi has given up on everything & just counting his days till he or Dhara die so he can finally be at peace!

Leh... I was away for only 2-3 days... And its again back to bhabhi vs rishita😆

Bhabhi ko rishita ka baccha bhi chahiye kya ab🙈

I so want to feel bad for dhara the character... But the writers and concerned actress would never let it happen... Unse hoga hi nahi... Unko aata hi nahi hai😆

That said, I agree don’t want to see any Shiva-Raavi scene for sometime, don’t even want them in the same frame. Their scenes are pathetic, trash whatever you want to call😆

I don't want to remember last year's Janmashtami 😕

Shiva will remain the asshole we know him as today.

I am not excited for any Shivi scenes until Shiva doesn't get his head out of the gutter and start behaving respectfully with Raavi.

Ikr, they looked like the mature couple that have gone through years of hard work and pain, that is why everyone respected them and looked up to them. But now Dhara has gone full on loony toons and Gaumbi doesn't know what to do with her. He really should admit her in a mental asylum and be done with her.

If not for these 2 and few other actors in this show and the fact I have been watching this show from the start, would have left it long tome ago😆

But then these days I enjoy trolling more than the actual episode 😆

I always knew Dhara vs Rishita will happen again when Rishita's baby comes but when chiku showed up I thought maybe they will leave Rishita's baby for Rishita and keep Dhara away. But now that chiku will be taken away from her again, they are going back to Dhara vs. Rishita because bhabhi is pagal and needs a baby to stay sane, who is the other baby in the family, Rishita's baby. Lets have bhabhi be pagal for another woman's baby again🤪🤬

I stopped liking Dhara's character during the danda kaand. I haven't been able to like her one bit since then.

It is only about Bhabi-Baby-Babu track, Shiva has become a loony bin just like his Master AKA BhabiMa. I know, what you are trying to say that he was already one, but now he has become on par with his BhabiMa 😆

When the sm track started i thought there will be some obsessive fan of raavi who will follow her, send her anonymous msgs from different accounts. Last year, Janmastami wasn’t as bad as Navaratri in Pandya house.

Shivi fight during Janmastami and then onto something more serious coming Navaratri, the thought scares me 😂

All the shows are taking leap and it’s about time PS takes a leap with Shiva Raavi separating before leap and after leap Shiva is shown mature, out of Bhabhi Bhakti and trying to woo Raavi back in his life with Raavi not giving so easily. Oh I also want an admirer for Raavi who loves her immensely and willing to wait as he knows Raavi still loves Shiva.

I know most of you don’t like the idea of 3rd angle and me too but this dangerous thought came to my mind as I am thinking like the makers 😆
