Dhara all emotional and the devars look at her teary eyed. ykb plays . She mahaan again

Oh, I get this

I have been so interested in this trying to read one religious text after another, shiva puraan being my next goal to conquer. I have been interested in retellings, references of "mytho" especially indian mytho in recent media and art, its interpretation and effect on people who consume both the stories of the great lords and their retellings or references

I have asked so many questions about god and their actions, to others and to myself

Two of the questions have stuck with me for a long time

First, is how morally acceptable are the gods to begin with, were they completely correct all the time

like a certain god we all know and worship and his treatment of his wife and the agnee pariksha she had to go through to prove herself to be "pure" when even if she was "impure" to begin with it would be her fault in the first place.

I once took this question to a soul way wiser than i was and the answer i recieved gave me a whole new perspective of this said god

this person said "this god was in his human form, hence making him vulnerable to all these human emotions, flaws and most importantly societal rules. does that mean that the stance was a correct one? as a feminist i could never say yes, but did it make me more understanding or accepting of this said god? ofcourse.

Similarly i am just getting myself familiarized with lord shiva and his stories, but correct me if I am wrong wasnt there a story about mohini and lord shiva having a child and goddess parvati witnessing this all. A version of this story even talked about how lord shiva requested that the next form parvati took would resemble mohini. Lord aiyappa (the supposed love child of shiva and mohini) is worshipped in many places of this country.

So should i if Shiva Pandya ever cheated on Raavi in the future condemn him or compare him to lord shiva?

The second question that, i always take with me is "how does the world view or interpretation of good effect my relationship with them"

I truly believe a person and their relationship to their god and their faith is one of the most scared thing to exist and so very private. Then does this relationship be affected by others?

Should how feel about lord shiva be affected by if a ITV character is compared to it or not? Does law get to have a say in my personal relationship with god? do i get to have a say in people and their relationship or their interpretation of god? Is their interpretation and relationship of god, hate towards my relationship and interpretation of god?

I am human trying to grow learn and understand myself and the world i live in, so hence these are questions I live to find answers to. And I may or may not find them, but thought this was a wonderful open space to pen these thoughts.

I hope I didnt offend you guys and I hope I can here you kind thoughts or answers I am trying to seek.

So much love and thanks for bearing with me 🤗

I just came across this post... though I don't know what this discussion is all about but some of your words caught my eye and I wanted to express my views regarding the same.

About the Actions of Lord Rama...

What u said about lord Rama being in his human form made him vulnerable to human emotions is something I completely agree with but I don't agree with the part where u said that it helped u to understand and accept him. Because sirsly I don't understand the need to accept or understand him.

You know I asked similar question to my grandmother once but she told me something along the lines of the answer u got and she also added that he has no other option but to choose between his wife and his dharma as a king. And Frankly I wasn't satisfied with this answer, I kept asking this question to other elders in my family and even to my teachers in school but never got a answer which will satisfy me and make me respect Lord Rama like I used to as a kid before coming across to this part of his story. Then one of teachers advised me that if u are not satisfied with the answer other people gives u then try forming ur own answer, analyse his actions and decide what is right and wrong for u...and I did just that.

After reading a lot of material over this topic, talking to a lot of people and deep thinking. I came to the conclusion that I don't need to understand or accept lord Rama for what he did became even Godess Sita didn't forgave him. I firmly that he himself never doubted Sita's piousness but he wasn't strong enough to take a firm stand for her. What he did was absolutely wrong and he spent rest of his life regretting it. He didn't even knew about the existence of his kids and couldn't enjoy the pure happiness of parenthood and not only him but the whole city who questioned Godess Sita, regretting their actions.

In my opinion every story (fictional or mythological) always have a moral. It is to teach u something. And this part of Ramayana thought me that if you ever question the character of a women or even fail to protect her respect than u will never be forgiven! When lord himself wasn't forgiven for such a crime than their is definitely no chance for a human to be forgiven.

Infact when lakshman cut the nose of Surpankha, lord Rama wasn't happy with this. He wanted lakshman to apology for this even after knowing the fact that she had evil intentions.

And Maybe this is precisely the lesson that lord Vishnu wanted to give us with his Rama avatar - To never disrespect a women! Because this will never be forgiven.

So I don't justify or understand lord Rama's action as a humans vulnerability but as lord Vishnu's attempt to teach us a important lesson. Similarly instead of justifying the actions of any human as his vulnerability against his emotions, we should just call him out for that because even god was punished for his crimes!

Noooooooooo I want Raavi to stay out if it. Suman and Shiva will make her life even more miserable of she goes against Dhara.

I am so glad Alice will not be in these scenes as she was sick and taken off, wish it was longer break because little more rest won’t do any harm, but I guess she wanted to come back to work yesterday.

I am also glad we are not getting any Shiva-Raavi scenes for the past 3 days, because the way they write the scenes are pathetic, not relatable at all.

Raavi gets called for lying and hiding information but Shiva is doing the exact same thing today and he is justified because he is doing it for Bhabi and the family.
Writers make sure that Raavi as a character doesn’t get the respect she deserves. They want to keep her a dobi forever and called out for any mistakes she does, be it a small one or a huge one,

If that happens i want all the members of IF at least the ones who don’t consider her bhabhiMaa to file an IBF complaint. They can’t show a kidnapper getting the baby. This is so outrageous and downtown catastrophic..!! The poor child will have so many mental health issues because of her...!!! Yeh entertainment nahi hai..!!

but again there is a thin line.
for example, it did bother me when I saw that Maa kaali poster. that director said it was her interpretation & went away with it. Similarly, it did bother me how in PK they showed Shivji ! And many other scenes. Max happens is their movie will not get watched- but they will still be safe & free to tell their stories!

Flexibility of sanatan dharma is they will neither fear nor ever go through what famous author went through!
Subtle bug strong difference in reaction!

I would call it constructive or even my personal view / interpretation & in no ways try to impose anything!! but at the same time, when some one from differing view, points things out : and if it does hurt my sentiments: instead of holding back, will put them across.

People can put forth their opinions whatever they maybe positive or negative but the problem is people getting offended with the opinions they dont agree on and then also getting offended with their opinions are called out as offensive, I guess acceptance is a two way street,

i, personally may or may not agree with lord shiva references in PS but as a decent human being i have to respect people who like them. Express my opinions and not belittle the one that differ in their opinions, atleast I try to.

Bold : i hope to god, that remains the case, so many people cross the line of being offended or disagreeing with a certain thing to downright taking it into their own hands to punish others, no wonder so many people grow wary of expressing their opinions honestly these days, the consequences to "offending" "religious sentiments" have become so dire

and I'm glad you & people like you and me, are logical enough to disagree but hopefully be respectful and thankfully not be violent 😊

Exactly..!!! Mtlb what is your ulterior motive behind the making of this show?
LeadBen ko aise hi cheque bhej dete ghar par.. itna taam jhaam karne ki kya zarurat thi...!! It’s time they show BhabhiMa’s aukaad if they don’t want their show to go off-air!

It’s high time they show Raavi’s upper-hand against Shiva, Suman, and BhabhiMa..The only way TRP will increase if they release a promo of Raavi calling everyone out.. especially dora the explorer...!! Then only the TV audience will watch the show.. nahi toh out....kuch nahi ho sakta..!! Aur kuch nahi dikhana toh band hi kardo... very boring and repeat it is...
