I doubt Manav would lie about this being on India Today.

And like I said, it’s about popularity and star power. Deepika has reached a point where 2-3 flops won’t affect her popularity. That’s like saying SRK is not longer a superstar because of how his movies have done in recent years. He may not be on top in terms of box office pull but he’s still a superstar and immensely popular. Same deal with Deepika. The movies that have flopped have not affected her popularity and star power in anyway.

Again, in terms of box office successes neither of them is #1. But in terms of stardom both can be. I get that it can be debatable between SRK and Salman (and this aggravates me as someone who doesn’t like either of them 😆) and Deepika and Katrina. But these four are still above others with their stardom and popularity.

Disagree about DP and performance, but I think the actual survey question might have been #1 heroine based on the caption. The word actress on the picture is Manav’s wording.

Going on a bit of a tangent here but I think unless the question is specifically about talent and performance people will still look at popularity IMO.
