Is Aamir Khan done as a leading man? Should he accept father roles?

🤣 I am not surprised his movie flopped. Not going to watch him copy Tom Hanks.

He has embarrassed himself and even Hollywood is laughing at him. I think he should

accept his career is over as leading man. He can play Ranbir's father now. 😉

I don't know the answers but it's high time for a major generational change. And yes, Aamir is such an embarrassment. For years he sold himself as this artistic, intellectual type, but instead of working on his own material he proceeded with a lame adaptation of a beloved film. Needless to add, this leading man nonsense is so irritating. I mean, asking whether a guy pushing sixty should accept father roles. LMAO Only in Bollywood.

He is already father in real life of a grown up man. If these 90s actor start playing father than reel will match real.

Being a leading man has nothing to do with age. He already proved that himself with Dangal.

Would be wonderful if the stars played their age too now and concentrate on a niche which can benefit them long-term rather than seeking roles onscreen where they get to romance girls who will call them uncle offscreen. Playing parents or grandparents in the future should not be something they look down on.

Aamir Khan was great in Dangal and SRK was great in Chak De India when they coached the girls who saw them as mentors

Salman was great in Prem Ratan Dhan Payo type role where he as the older brother gave the property to the girls

Akshay, Ajay, John have done some nice work with the nationalist pride movies.

If they work on accepting age apt roles, they will continue to get their due as well as give talented newcomers a chance to enhance their talent.

I like the example of the Mohabbatein given above..Amitabh Bachan did get both screen-space and due recognition for that movie.

Aamir's strength is in older, more mature roles. I don't know what he's thinking, Dangal was a great performance from him. He was never the stereotyped romance hero to the extent of SRK/Salman (mainly because he ruined his jodi with Juhi).

Aamir could play someone like the grandmaster in Teen Patti perfectly like Amitabh, or do some Kamal Hassan remake.

Not to mention Aamir has the China and overseas market which will be receptive of him in older roles. He could even do an older-couple romance.

I must admit his choice of movies are getting boring now! Movies like Mangal Pandey and LSC. He should differ in choosing characters now.
