That is what I am saying, young ones have to cross films like Sultan, PK, TZH, Dangal & with large margins to make a stand that yes now Khans, kumar, devgn are over.

We are talking about young stars, abhi tak Khans ki film Kumar, Devgn, Hrithik or any other star se bhi cross nahi hui.

Yes, they will stop using VFX, or other things, eventually in 3-4 years they might not even come in hero roles, even then they equation or target will be to give major 400-500 cr films at regular intervals & with consistency. Magnitude of Success will only prove that current biggies are overtaken.

There are no targets really because they keep moving with the changed circumstances. The current scenario is not anything like what it was when the previous gen debuted. There was no internet and 24/7 scrutiny that they were subjected to. No OTT platforms, no million channels on TV. The current lot have to thrive despite all these things. 400, 500 crores was still a once in a lifetime thing even for previous gen, isn’t it? Things have drastically changed from then to now. The older heros will make movies with their own money even if no one else wants to hire them. So basically what I am saying is that there is no such thing as getting replaced. The floor is open to everyone as of now.

Now you are easing up on younger stars. This ain't right, in 90s there use to be Single Screens, 4 shows a day on 1 Screen, 1 Theatre, today we can have 4000-5000 screens, 10K+ Shows in 1 day, today's star has so many advantages in marketing which 90s stars didn't had. Earlier they use to have only radio promotions by songs, posters on walls, no malls, no visit on tv shows. That time also they had VCR, TV, lots of entertainment things.

Today reaching the audience with your trailer/film has multiplied so much that you can achieve a whole 80s film's 5-6 month box office collection in 1 day itself. TOH's 1st day is bigger than Raja Hindustani's whole box office collection, this is the magnitude of business which has evolved in today's time.

Khans have given mega hits in MALLS/PLEX Times, they have adapted themselves, capitalizing on whatever medium available for marketing. Young Stars can do it in much better, bigger way, we can't just add up excuses as this is not there, or something else, if a 14 Cr opener BB2 can make 181 Cr, why can't they make 20+, 30+ or even 40+ cr opener film with a total of 400-500 Cr?
