A few theories from my side.

I do feel that we will finally get the Virakhi pairing. Sai will be leading her own life and maybe with someone else. And the leap will be the milestone to bring around this changed dynamics and establish Virakhi. After all this it is impossible that they will keep V and P separate. The story is going to scavengers.

Bailing out P - V may have bailed out P. But it could also possibly mean that he had started to pursue that course despite Sai's warning. But Sai freaks out at it and decides to call it quits.

Precap - Sai and the baby are missing. We don't know if P has been bailed out and if so, by whom.

If P has been bailed out, there is a possibility that she took the baby and Sai went after her. Sai assumes both to be dead in the accident and decides never to return to CN.

If P returns to CN with the baby - Sai presumed to be dead, V marries P under pressure from family for the baby (although I can't believe the mindset of such people to still allow P in the house).

If P runs away with the baby - This is very less likely, then all 3 are leading separate lives unaware of the existence of the other.

Sai is pregnant and goes about delivering and bringing up her daughter with informing CN as she hates them for bringing this upon her losing her baby.

DM might have a role in helping Sai through all this. He may also be a lil selfish and keep the facts away from her for his own interests.

This one is even less likely.

P and the baby are presumed dead. Sai is rescued.

V and the family blame her for losing their baby creating a rift between Sai and V. And eventually Sai leaves CN.

Incase Sai is unable to recover from the shock of losing her baby she may be staying in CN. V may be guilty for bringing this upon Sai and their baby. It is only over time after she conceives again that she gets back to normal

This is the only way they can show monogamy or V true to Sai and his so called deewano wala pyaar for her.

And it's an ITV trope where the lead gets married again and again but only to the FL.
