I read the entire article. Very well articulated..

Still it's a bit hard to digest it would open as low as 5 crore... that's too shocking. It's a very bold prediction but backed by good research.

I am still expecting something in the ballpark of 10 crore, more or less. Let's see what happens..

If this prediction comes true. Then its high time Hindi movie industry gets into a huddle and introspect instead of clawing at eachother.

Amir acting is worst of the worst in promos ... He was looking like mentally challenged person but not as innocent low IQ person ....

Promos so far gained lot of negative reviews than positive.

But the advance bookings indicate 15 to 30 cr opening

I can feel eagerness,wait on the eyes of bhakts to see lal singh chaddha as flop. Amazing india!!

That was a very concise write up Bobby. I’m not sure I entirely agree with it though. A big part of it is as an Aamir fan I can’t wrap my mind around his movie, with him as the main star of it, opening at 5cr. So the fangirl in me is rejecting your premise and hoping I won’t end up with egg on my face 😆. But here are some other points …

The movie is getting a lot of buzz in recent days. All that talk of boycott actually helping.

Paramount is starting to promote it overseas. There are expectations that will do very well abroad. Aamir movies have always done well overseas. I know you are talking strictly Indian box office but it does feel like Paramount getting involved here is also giving it extra buzz in India.

Typically it’s understood that if makers are not confident about the movie they won’t hold any screenings a week in advance. Maybe one day before the release but not a week before the way Aamir has, and apparently he’s planning a couple of more screenings.

Forest Gump at its core is a sweet feel good movie. Why wouldn’t its remake resonate with audiences? LSC has obviously been adapted to work with Indian culture and Indian sensibilities. Even if Aamir Khan’s acting is questionable odds are pretty good the story is told as beautifully as Forest Gump was. Aamir Khan production has that credibility here.

I guess we’ll find out on the 11th. I personally think the movie probably is very well done and that WOM will grow slowly over the weekend. But if you are right and it’s a complete disaster I still think 5cr is too low. I do expect it to open in double digits on.

But amir has started booking theaters in wholesome. 10 cr toh aise hi advance booking means laga diye hai use. Toh lagra hai tumhara prediction bahot galat janewala hai. You maybe on the money but his unethical practices seem to have failed your predictions already my friend.😆

Read the article and you have always been articulate with your prediction. Though I disagree reg the opening day figure, I have to admit that the lifetime collection and flop status you have accorded to LSC look legit👍🏼

Yep seems like it both LSC and Rakshabandhan will flop for sure. I think the later will still do slightly better business than the former one. Nobody is interested in the desi version of Forest Gump when you can the watch the original.
