In Yes Boss, he indeed works as an employee for a boss and does everything that pleases him to climb the ladder to the goal of being his own boss. He starts only to act against his boss when it becomes clear that latter won't help him in any way to realize his dream (in addition to falling in love with the boss' love interest).

In Pardes he is the foster son of the man who sends him to prepare the chosen bride...he has no other ambition as to serve his foster father. That only changes when the real son abuses the woman.

Btw...he has also a boss in Chaahat (a female one, quasi), in Koyla, in Duplicate (a female one, too), Mohabbatein, Ra.One (female one), and JHMS (female one) he had to serve as part of the plot...
