Masaba Gupta actually says that children of famous people in Bollywood have it harder than newcomers coming from nowhere. And it’s on video. Has she not learned anything from the from the trolling Ananya, Sonakshi, Varun, Alia etc have gotten over the years?

Why is it such a big issue if they have some hard time, it was said by Vijay also on KWK. Ppl are now being oversenti in this matter & unnecessarily targeting Star kids.

Yes. It was harder for her to get a Netflix show while I can call the CEO of Netflix India any day for my story to be made into a show.😊

The problem here is when they claim that they’ve had it harder than newcomers with no filmi connections. That’s just a ridiculously tone deaf and unaware statement to make, at best. At worst it shows your arrogance and even perhaps lack of empathy.

Masaba is the daughter of Neena Gupta who has been part of Bollywood before Masaba was even born. But in recent years, specially after Badhai Ho, has been in the news a lot for having a second inning of her career. Masaba grew up being friends with the Bhatt girls, with Anushka Ranjan who’s father is one of the richy rich richs of TV industry. She was married to Madhu Montana one of the cofounders of Phantom. The kind of networking access and ease that Masaba Gupta had and has is truly enviable. And she has the audacity to say she’s had it harder than some unknown person who has to struggle for years just to get a meeting with a casting director!!! Why? Based on what?

Problem with being rich and privileged is that the slightest inconvenience or criticism comes across as struggle and hardship. And Masaba here reeks of that kind of privilege, arrogance, and entitlement.

Honestly in a way they do have it hard coz there is so much baggage when they enter the industry due to the family connections. They are expected to behave and perform at certain level otherwise they will be trolled and called out right away versus the unknown newcomers aka outsiders have a clean slate and are able to create their own space and individuality without any comparisons.

BUTTT having said all that, there are multiple reasons why these nepo kids are being bashed or called out so often these days.

1. They all act privileged in your face rather than being thankful and accept the fact that they are indeed lucky to get these big breaks and more than one chance.

2. The amount of nepo kids debut that happened in the last few years. it seemed like they all bombarded at the same time and started behaving and dressing like one another.

3. Their aggressive PR tactics and same styling game. It sincerely doesnt help that every single one of them dress and sound exactly the same. they all are groomed in a similar fashion, walk and talk the same way so its hard not to troll them. I mean that reporter wasnt wrong when she straight up said that everyone these days talk like Bebo

4. It doesnt help at all that most of them provide WTF statements from time to time and it all just keeps piling on. In this digital age, literally nothing goes unnoticed so too bad they cant just delete public's memory unlike yesteryears.

5. The insane amount and constant favoritism that Nepo Papa Jo has showcased and still continues from time to time has only created negativity in public's mind. His Alia jaap has gone over the board and it refuses to stop which in turn has rubbed off bad on others too so all the nepo kids get trolled bad. it doesnt help that most of these nepo kids themselves dont give much chance to the audience to defend them with their actions.

If it is a crime to be Rich, had network, know some ppl, then ask outsiders to do the same. Why is it always assumed that o they are Rich, they know this, they are friends with this, will have no problem. I am sure you don't even know 1% of her from real life, yet you can write paragraphs as how she can say she had problems.

Being Rich isn't crime, every human being has right to put their opinions. Just coz SSR did a suicide, whole world doesn't come to senses that ya Nepotism exist & let's crucify every single star kid or rich kid for that.
