Gangubai was a real person, bud. She was a survivor of prostitution racket who tried to help other women forced into same situation. She brought education to their children. She went to politicians to legalize prostitution so the women at least wouldn't be at risk for exploitation on that level also.

If u see the movie u will know how she owned the Bentley..she had underworld n political connections..won the election as head of brothels (forgot what its called)..so had lot of power and was basically incharge of the area and business

The movie based on book by zaidi has mostly white washed her character therefore people believe what is shown in movie.

In reality it was dark and grim, she was involved in drug peddling ,sex trafficking and she might have send few girls back there were lot of girls she didn't , there are all set of crimes associated with her, but the victor write the story she became successful so she wrote her victim turned saviour story.

They weren’t “forced” they had to choice between two evil

- go back home and be disowned by family and society. Even thought you didn’t do anything wrong

- or be a prostitue

Arjun Reddy was toxic af 😐 there was nothing romantic about that piece of shit
