While it's true that Adi has a cynical view on family, it is also true that Ginni has a highly idealistic view on family. Both have a lot to learn from each other.
One is lacking understanding and practical approach entirely and the other one is indifferent to the understanding of the values of family, well not entirely, Adi seeks warmth and love and with Gurleen's one gesture of warmth he was ready to shower all his brotherly love on her and made sure everything goes smoothly in her wedding, that's heartening indeed despite of this overdramatic drama in the wedding, I would have enjoyed it better if makers had some sense of toning down the intensity of torture and constant insults.
