I completely agree with u! SP, Colors and even Zee for that matter - the FLs are so overdressed with layers of makeup on them. And the god awful jewelry which will give anyone an eye sore and we need to believe the character comes from a rich family. They are so tacky and cheap. These days u get good imitation jewelry but still these guys are terrible. The only show on star where I can last recall people looking classy and real was KHKT - the heroine was a TV actress but only when she was shooting she used to wear a TV soap heroine clothes but outside her work she dressed so well. I was surprised to see Dipika Kakar Ibrahim in that avatar coz I couldn't get over her Simar avatar for a long time but she pleasantly surprised me. Zee toh I find it OTT. Sriti and Shraddha were so well dressed in their previous shows and their look was simplistic and real which actually made them look beautiful but in Bhagyas they are overdressed all the time.

Colors pe last I liked Jenny as Zoya in BP and that too before the first leap happened. She wore such lovely anarkali kurtas and her make up was so simple. And even Drashti and Aditi Sharma before leap in Silsila. They looked nice especially Drashti looked lovely in her sarees. Their wardrobe was amazing but now in recent shows, its horrible.

But I have to give it to Sony. Their characters look so real for most part. Can never forget Maya from Beyhadh, Sonakshi from KRPKAB and or even that recent show which went off air last year - Meri Dad Ki Dulhan. Both Shwetha Tiwari and the actress who played Nia had nice realistic outfits. Or any show I see for that matter. BALH2 I loved the look they have given the ladies, be it Bri, post leap Priya, Nandu and Vedu (they are classy vamps for sure) or even post leap Sara. I loved their looks. Before leap, I found it annoying that in a bid to keep Priya simple, they made her dress like that post wedding. I mean c'mon - if your husband is taking you to his business partner and close friend's place for family dinner, which newly married bride will wear clothes that look so washed out? I was not expecting Priya to lather on makeup or wear a Manish Malhotra. But at least in the outfits she had, she could have chosen something a little bright? But now I have no complaints. I so love the cotton anarkalis with the oxidized jhumka Priya is wearing now 😆 This is simple but so pretty.

Sure IB is OTT, cheesy and many times even illogical but it has a certain charm because of the chemistry between the actors (not only between the leads but between every one of them). Let me also mention that I absolutely HATED Shivaay's character for the first 250 episodes or so. But they actually managed to give him a good character arc from being an unbearable, rich, elitist, classist, snob to a decent human being who overcame all his prejudices. And Nakuul gave some of his best performances in that show, be it when he finds out the truth about his mom being the reason for their separation or the one where he saves his house from getting auctioned or when he plays a jilted lover in the redux version, to break Annika's marriage, he completely stole my heart with his acting. PS: I know many of you might not like IB but this is just my personal opinion, so please dont throw jooti, chappals at me😳

Completely agree with you. IB is quite illogical at times with loopholes but it's still a show that makes me laugh and feel every emotion possible to feel when i watch it. And Nakuul's performance is a very big reason for that but other cast had done a fantastic job with their roles as well.

Best brother's bond i have ever witnessed on ITV screen. And chemistry nakuul and surbhi shared from the first scene itself is magical no doubt.

I have hated shivaay so much as well from the first episode for the first 200 or so episodes as well and wanted to kill himself for his absolutely snobbish and ridiculously established standards of people around him. And him putting Everyone in a unnecessary stereotyped box of rules. But his character arc has made me fall in love with him as well and i started to root for him too. And the best part was his progression was not instant. It was slow and meaningful. He realised his shortcomings each day in a new situation making him realise how wrong he has been in his upbringing.

And nakuul being a completely opposite person from shivaay has done justice to him.

But i would disagree on one thing with you. I completely found redux a waste of characters and story. It made a beautiful story a joke to me. There were some things in anika's character i like in redux ex- her leaving shivaay and oberois after exposing daksh and showing mirror to shivaay and refusing to wear mangalsutra which was missing in the earlier story but i still find redux a big joke. It ruined beautiful relationships like obros. OG characters on brothers wouldn't have done that to each other.

But still i find IB being a very close show to my heart.

The translations were on point. Priya does mention the word revenge/badla. The use of the word revenge doesn't make sense. It was more like Ram took out his anger for Priya on Pihu (which was also said by Priya). I am not sure if the word 'revenge' is used to foreshadow any of the negative character's actions.

Seriously, Ram asking for explanation doesn't make any sense. 😆 When she was his wife, he didn't ask for answers and let her go. And after five years, he wants to know why she was visiting Krish. And what was that hug/almost kiss 🤣 Both forgot that they aren't married anymore (or are they counting that sindoor scene as wedding?)

Oh no, absolutely, the redux was a total waste, I agree with you. I did not like the redux either. Annika was turned into a bechari abla naari, Rudra turned into a villain, there was no natural progression of a love story (which was actually done quite slowly and well in the OG version) and we were just supposed to believe that Shivaay-Annika are in love because they are soul mates or whatever.

I was just saying that acting-wise, Nakuul did very well in the scene where he breaks Annika's marriage. Nakuul had to act as Shivaay who was in turn acting as if he was Annika's lover, betrayed by her. So many layers in that scene my man Nakuul just came through❤

I mean Revenge is a big word for me. You take revenge on those you hate true. But saying Ram is so low that he would take revenge on Pihu to hurt Priya didn't work well for me.

So i didn't watch the episode fully 🤪. Did Ram deliberately miss dinner with Pihu or forgot about it in anger towards Priya ? I need more context on that.

Sony casting , the aesthetic and costumes are good. Even sets are playing - eg Mose chal and that 8.30 show actually looks like they belong to middle class small houses. Unlike sp - every rich man has same mansion, even poor has mansion. Kkb kdb mein sarla ma house was ok, now so it's same.

Kkb post 18 yr leap sriti for simple look. Kdb ka never noticed much but yeah overdressing is irritating. Sp k toh i can't get over the stupid names it gives their fl - imlie rajjo kuhu mishti uff 🤢 it also has its stupid urine filter for some shows like 8.30 wala. Sony ka lesser named show lile dad ki dulhan and story 9 months ki fl costumes were soooo pretty. Sony didn't really make a mark in popularity which is sad but it also protected its content somewhat. Anyone remember yrf shows on sony? Damn those were 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Ram deliberately missed the dinner after he noticed Priya's bad in Krish's house. Because as per him, Priya was cheating on their fake marriage by secretly meeting Krish 🤪 So, he went back to his office for his meetings and broke another promise he made to that innocent child.

I was face palming at that scene 🤣 Wasn't Priya Krish's gf according to Ram? Or was it another 'revenge' to make Priya cheat on Krish. You never know, makers can make Ram hit new lows with each episode

Oh yeah no doubt in that. Nakuul was just phenomenal in the redux with his acting. The growth we can witness in his scenes from the start of IB to the redux part seems unnatural to me. But honestly he has nailed all of his scenes so beautifully and that scene you are talking about i agree with you. It gave me goosebumps and also the scene when rudra disgraced Anika infront of media and shivaay came through ❤️ man! That scene has all my heart. What a wonderful performance by nakuul. Every expression was so good. It didn't look like a actor playing his role but an actual person defending his wife🥺

And nakuul's acting was the reason i ever watched bade. And i still sometimes follow it bcz of him only. Bcz no matter the script or scene i have always enjoyed his acting. He has worked hard and it shows.❤️

Also what did Ram say? He is nothing like Krish. If he believes Priya is with Krish and he is trying to get close to her, he is doing what he believed Krish once did. Making a move on a woman who is with another man now
