The audacity of this Nandu devi to go behind Ram's back, keep a track of his wife's activities and clothes and to sit and decode their sex life and decide the paternity and give the verdict to Ram...
I think BALH2 crossed all limits of toxicity that day.. I couldn't even watch that episode coz I read about it and I was like 🤢
Don't know if you have seen , but there is specific scene dedicated to help Ram get over his insecurity/jealousy/possessiveness whatever u call it around Krish which happens after kidnapping (the date on which according to Nandini, Priya had a weak moment)
So Krish asks Priya doesn't she realize how beautiful she is .. To which Pri says, no I don't. Because all this while Mr. Kapoor was not there with me and it is he who makes me feel beautiful and Ram eavesdropped this whole conversation. True. Wish Ram could think about these moments but maybe at that point he was blind to everything else other than Shivi's death.
So Priya can have sex with Krish, but can't accept even a beauty compliment from him even when Ram is not in the scene.. Simply wonderful !!🤗 Lets admit Priya had a moment of weakness but she had also slept with Ram a couple of times before, that too around the same time. So how can even Priya be sure that Krish is the father? Even if Ram believed this lie, he should have gone ahead with the paternity test. But I guess good it didn't happen coz then he would still believe that lie that Priya cheated on him and take away the baby from her coz it was his. I know I make paradoxical statements 😆 but this is me thinking out loud. I am upset that Priya lied about the baby and I thought of various scenarios that could have happened - maybe Priya lied ki it was a false alarm or she miscarried or got an abortion done and Nandu could have supported it with reports. But would that distance Ram from Priya or keep him from keeping tabs on her? No. Even Nandu knew that. She could have simply asked Priya to hide the pregnancy but she knew Ram will go back to Priya and he will take the case back since it was an accident once he cooled down. So she wanted to push them to a point of no return. She asked Priya to lie about the baby coz that would be the final nail in the coffin for RaYa. Ram would let go of Priya only when she truly belonged to another man. She was having his child and what else could be bigger than that? Even if Priya had a ONS out of a weak moment, Ram might have forgiven her. But now that she was pregnant with another man's child she claimed was her true love, he would not stand in her way. He would walk away completely so that she can move on with that person and shut all doors. The execution of this track was horrible and it portrayed both the characters as weak. Ram was already weak but they made Priya the vulnerable one here.
Nandu apparently all this while knew Priya was cheating but didn't tell Ram for the fear of hurting him.. So What shub muhurat was this woman waiting for?? Exactly and if she chose to reveal the truth, why now? When Ram was grieving Shivi? Did he deserve to know now?
In spite of having suspicions she lets Priya help them by risking her life and meeting the manager to bring justice to VK.. Lets her be a part of the pooja kept for VK etc etc, doesn't reveal it even when the will is named on Priya .. Brilliant !!!
There is no weight in Priya's lie. Not even a single proof that indicates infidelity .
I think Ram succumbed to this lie , though it defies all logic , because it was the easiest thing to do. There were 2 deaths in his family because of Soods, so if he fights for Priya's innocence , it would mean he is being inconsiderate towards his grieving family. Yes, Ram succumbed to that lie though he fought it initially. Nandu knew when to strike and she struck when the iron was at its hottest. I hope makers don't try to redeem her character in any way coz right from day 1 she has been selfish and greedy. Just that it was very subtle unlike MS and it wouldn't be clear to audience too at start but now its more than evident. She beautifully manipulated everyone around her.
Nandini made her wishes clear, she wanted Ram to forget and remove this curse called Priya from their life and by herself lying Priya just made it easy for Ram to hate her and unconditionally be there for his family and not be torn in this moral dilemma of choosing between wife and mother .
Remember the diwali dialogue where Pri promises Ram that if at all there comes a situation in life where he will have to choose between his old relations and her , she will not put him through that and rather walk away and that's what she did. ( Added to this was the promise she made to Nandini, threat to Pihu's life + guilt of Shivi and VK death + protecting Eshaan's future )
As if Priya has not suffered enough because of her promises, she still goes on promising Nandini post leap as well . Someone put a cello tape on this girls' mouth to prevent her from promising anything to anybody I know and even I was like 😡 no, not happening! But then Priya like Ram believes Nandu is acting in Ram's best interests. She always believed that Nandu loved him like her own son and that's what she said when they spoke after Shivi's chooda rasam. Ki despite being a step mom her love for Ram isn't any less. Priya should also know that Nandu doesn't care about Ram in any way. She should hear what Nandu said to herself in the initial post leap episode ki she would get rid of Ram like she did Priya. Then I am hoping the promises she made to Nandu will be of no meaning to her. She will bounce back. Especially when she realises Ram can be happy only with her and she is the only one who can save him from his vicious step family. I hope that day we get Priya 1.0 back. She can retain few traits of Priya 2.0, like her dressing, cheerful nature 😆 That I happily don't mind 😉
