About Nandu and Shubhu, what can you expect? They never cared for Shivi with whom they had blood ties. Pihu is still step family to them.

Pri is that maternal influence that all the Kapoors needed to be better and responsible and happy and thriving even ...

If only N could see beyond her power game of keeping the golden duck under her thumb.... She could have had a wonderful family with good kids who can be responsible for their own happiness and success... Instead of teaching them manipulation, she should have taught them of being self reliance....

Yet to see that caring side of Shubhu. Nandu on the other hand was always selfish. She was concerned about her image and her societal status. She knew Shivi was in love with Akki but she made sure Ram never got to know at first coz she knew if Ram became aware he would get Shivi Akki married without a second thought. Later on she wanted Shivi to get married to Akki just coz she assumed Shivi is pregnant. She didn’t want anything to affect her so called image. She even convinced Ram to marry Priya. Not coz she wanted to see Shivi happy with the man she loved but she wanted to ensure Shivi’s pregnancy never came out at least before marriage. Had Shivi’s test result arrived earlier before she spoke to Meera about getting RaYa married she wouldn’t have bothered. She was ok to accept Priya not coz she felt Priya will be a good partner for Ram. She saw a middle class girl who was content in her minimalist life and would want nothing to do with materialistic pleasures of life. Also she banked on Ram never moving on from Vedu. So Priya would be a wife for namesake only. She thought Priya would not take this marriage seriously but what she didn count on was that Priya would care for Ram in a way nobody else had. She saw the concern in Priya’s eyes for Ram and she knew it was a matter of time before Ram would reciprocate and they would fall in love. And she never expected Priya to be someone who could see through things. She knows Vedika is a sly fox and she also knows Vedika is a gold digger. Yet she prefers her over Priya who wants nothing to do with Ram’s money. Y is that? It’s only coz she can manipulate Vedu unlike Priya. She can control Vedu in a way she can never control Priya. Not counting the time Shivi died coz Priya’s guilt made way for Nandu to manipulate her. Nandu knows she can get rid of Vedu in a heartbeat but it’s not the same case with Priya. Priya may not want a penny from Ram but Ram is willing to leave everything for her and she cannot afford to lose him. It’s not out of love but only out of greed. That’s y even in the face of her child’s death, the only thing that mattered to her was getting rid of Priya. Only to hold onto Ram’s money.
