Okay, watched it again. He was rubbing his eyes. Read the comments in the thread as well after that 😆 and yes, seems like something got into his eyes after all. Better this way. Drunk scenes are somewhat pointless since characters seldom remember what they say and do in them. But if he is sober, she will nurse his watering eyes and he will owe her one all over again.
