Boring film hain.. The actors did well, but let down by boring script with no high points ..

If Ranbir wants to ride the bandwagon and do action films he needs to choose better directors and scripts.

All the actor's mehnat wasted. To be fair. Ranbir, Sanjay, Irawati, Saurabh, Ronit even Vaani acted well. But the story telling had no impact, no dhasu dialogues, no seetimar scenes..

Action and comedy are the hardest genres to crack. That’s why I may not like most of these action/comedy heroes but I respect their pull.

A mass film needs the hero to go all out and deliver the most sleaziest,unbelievable,unconventional of the dialogs with utmost conviction. Ranbir just doesn’t fit the bill. The dialogs and screenplay were written to his strengths than him raising up to the premise of the script. This is what happens when you first choose the actor and then write the screenplay around him jab ki it should be the other way round.

Yeah ranbir doesn't have that charisma!! He is fit for sober roles!! I don't think he is versatile, honestly the 'ranbir is the best actor of this generation' mantra is too overrated.

Ppl think it’s soo easy to just “make a masala film”..like throw all genres in and put some item songs and job done?

These kinda examples time and again prove that it’s no childs play to make a “massy” film

Mass films need pace, energy, a strong core emotion and conviction ….all of which this film didn’t have

My review of Shamshera: TORTURE

I cannot understand how can they okay a product so dated and this bad? The movie drags and tests your patience beyond measures. This is a torture which lasts 2hours and 40min. When interval came, I was cribbing that there is half the movie still left to torture me. Ranbir kapoor..what happened? Forgotten how to act? The guy says dialogues like a robot and sleep walks through the entire movie, no emotions, depth or intensity whatsoever. Movies like these expose him because not every actor ,no matter how good, can work in a larger than life cinema and Ranbir surely does not. Vaani kapoor's makeup and curls stand the test of all times. Sanjay dutt is okay.

How can they even think this will work? And why should it work? Like this one had no chance even before pandemic when may be people had a slight bit more tolerance for rubbish, now..no chance whatsoever. And before we even blame the pandemic..it is the movies which are so painfully bad that they will flop no matter what. Such big names on and off screen and this is the result. I have patience for many bad movies but Shamshera for me falls in the same league as Harry Sejal or Zero where it is so bad that even a cinema lover like me cannot wait to run out of it. There were like 8 people in the entire cinema and I bet half of them must be dozing off.

1 star and I am being very generous here.

How come there are no numbers out? Is the opening that low? Even BOI hasn’t released numbers and they are the first to do so. Why the delay?
