Colors entry brought more regressiveness to the table. There few shows were good but its a countable number. Highest number of shows are small town and even some urban kachra. Totally nasty channel. I hopes with Silsila seeing how well it was performing that the nasty channel forced the makers to change everything. Bepanah turned into a crap.

colors has some shows
A show glorifying domestic abuse(im sure its not the only one but definitely stands out)

a show about polygamy(that dil se dil tak nd also parineeti now)

that laado show nd its sequel, I heard some horrifying complaints on it in the bccc list

4, 4 whole shows about child marriage, nd 2 of them on child adult marriage

Nd I know some of these shows are social dramas, but all of their portrayals from crossed the line many many times

There's one show for which i wont accuse Colors and that is Mukti Bandhan. This was a well made urban centric show. But it was too ahead of its time. The show was portraying a story of Dhirubhai Ambani in some sense. Esha was playing the FL and her character was london return.

Earlier kids in the shows were treated as kids only. Agar koi leads ka bacchha rehta ya khud ka leads ka childhood rehte fir bhi they would act as kids only not act like adults. But Balika Vadhu changed the portrayal of kids on TV. Uske baad kids ko irritating dikhaane lage.

I've heard this somewhere before too. After it they started cashing on the shock value of watching babies cacked up in makeup and sindoor on their baby faces nd iske baad hi I guess, the pairing of teenagers with older men started happening more on tv, I think sasural simar ka started it mainstreamly

During 2017-2018 period, multiple shows had trend of MLs(from various channels) acting sweet with FL trapping them to marry and after marriage changing into abusive men doing violent things like slapping them(slapping FLs which was stopped restarted in 2017), making permanent tattoos forcibly on their hands, making them dance like a nachaniya in front of other guests. I have seen this pattern in various shows then. Shaayad abhi bhi hota hoga.
