MIL to accompany or not, the Dadi to look after the baby or not....
THE REAL ISSUE IS: all Anupama's children turn out to be selfish, if in various degrees.
Samar, Mamma's sweet boy, still has reservations about his mother bringing in another child - that it would bring in another sibling - so, yes, he too is jealous.
He, too, is deep down thinking his mother's love cannot be the same as before coz now there is another who will get it.
Thereby completely forgetting that true love does NOT get less when more of it is given.
And in the bargain, also, he is completely overlooking that Anupama and Anuj are bringing in an ORPHAN child whose life they will be trying to make better and giving it all the love possible.
All this, without giving up on her first three children.
He expressed his support in the end, and Anupama says Thank You for it, but it is preposterous of course, that she should even bow to his 'magnanimity'.
Then Pakhi: her selfishness is partly based on insecure image and identity issues. And partly, as she said herself, because she had always been the 'little one' (=spoilt one) in the family and now that title would go to little Anu.
She has no care for another person's feelings in essence, only minding her own interest, how she will now be shortchanged by the arrival of this baba.
She spoke some words of support to her mother too, but there was no real warmth in them and here, too, it is preposterous that Anupama should have thanked her so ... so... meekly.
And Toshu: the less said of him the better. He and Kinjal - all possible negative icons should be placed for them now!
Yes, the producers/writers are so wrong:
. in making their characters so negative
. in not giving them roles that are worthy of their acting talents
. and - as a rule - in constantly spreading toxicity whenever there is talk of and in the Shah house.
Add this to the mess/toxic developments at the Kapadia's own house and one can only cry and cry that there is no place for Anu and Anuj to be really MaAn again ðŸ˜
