SRK doesn’t have a SINGLE movie in top 10

Was just checking some stats and noticed that SRK doesn’t have single movie in Top 10 highest grossers whether in India or worldwide . Even Hrithik, Ranbir and Ranveer has 1 each . This has to be the lowest point in his career and next year would be crucial for him.

What career? He was over eons ago. 😳

SRK is one of the most prolific actors of all time. Having a film in the current highest grossing films releases really doesn't make any difference to his career at this point. Sadly he doesn't seem to realize that. And keeps doing these awful films. Dear Zindagi is like his only good role in maybe 10 years now.

Chennai Express is not even in top 15 now and was out of top 10 long time ago when Simmba beat it's lifetime collection. Coincidentally at the same time Zero was a Disaster at the box office which made him go on a break.

If we consider only Hindi mainstream films, which are made in Hindi and not dubbed, then Shah's last blockbuster, Chennai Express, is in the top 10 list of worldwide grossers at no.10. In other lists, CE is featured in the Top 20. That in itself is a big achievement, as that film came out in 2013, 9 years ago.

Simmba came five years later, with a higher number of screens and much higher ticket prices, yet it could only beat Chennai Express's nett collection figures and week-wise collection, failing in every other list. Chennai Express is ahead of it. Be it opening day, weekend, overseas or worldwide collection.

Red Chilies has lost a lot of investment in Shah's last 2 films, Zero and JHMS. Either he could have continued making more films and tried to make it big, or he could have considered other options. I am glad he took a break to re-consider his choice of films. All three films next year will enter all the Top 10 lists for sure, and who knows, they might even knock the top film off.
