The argument gets sidetracked to Mahira because the rest of what RK did has either video proof (Battery Low, interviews with Katrina) or verbal gems from his family (A,B,C,D, mom's story about the maid) or someone just outing RK for his crimes (nearly drowning PC).

Mahira's case can be argued either way, so the focus is on her.

Frankly, I'm at the point of not ever wanting to watch the douche or the virginal missus on screen. At this rate, it won't be long before Alia is portrayed as a virgin bride who reformed the bad boy and married him. The rehab efforts thus far have been nausea-inducing in the sheer number of in-your-face lies. It's near Kangana level for me. Hard to separate the actor from the movie.

I like RK as an actor but he's playing same character in all his films ; it'd so much better if he doesn't make such stupid remarks. Method acting isn't stupid but it's rather something really hard, sometimes it hard for those actors as well.
