I figured this out maybe a track or two ago and made my peace with it.
Every new track has an outcome the writers want. In order to achieve that outcome they yank some characters this way and that, so much that they are unrecognizable to us. Some other characters they dumb down to death.
Then they weave the story around that. Once the story has been told they reset all the characters back to square one. Then on to the next track. This is their MO.
Rudra, Ramya Jogi, Doodhwala arsonist all had 20 mins or less, no solid reason to create the havoc they did, but here we are!

We don't know the backstory if the writers don't flesh it out. I agree in the beginning the writers alluded that there may have been something there but then the relationship soured due to some misunderstanding. I still go back to the advice Harshvardhan gave to Abhi about trust. Not to trust someone so completely that you lose your sense of yourself and then get betrayed at the end and how hurtful that could be. I assumed that was Harshvardhan speaking from experience where he believed someone and then has his trust betrayed.
Mahima is very similar to Arohi but I will say this about Mahima. She has her own insecurities and she has done some mean things against her sister but I always feel that whenever Manjari has gotten hurt she has shown actual care. She looked so angry when she found out Akshara and Arohi were the ones who hit Manjari with the car. When the family found out about Neil, she was there supporting her sister and letting her cry on her shoulder. That is not something that I have ever seen portrayed by Arohi. She acts like NSG and keeps herself away from the family even though they have showered their love on her. For a character who says she wants to focus on her career she has done very little. What happened to her MD? At the very least I can say is Mahima is an accomplished doctor and treats her patients well. Even when the kid was crying and Akshu ended up singing sure Mahima looked upset but she still administered the medicine to the child and was trying to calm the kid down.
But we see how these writers write they don't fill in gaps nor have characters still be upset about things that they should still be upset about when a track ends. Its like track ends okay all characters get set back to zero and then new personalities start for them on the next track. Characters get dumb down while others start acting super smart 🤣
As for Manjair forgiveness for Harshvardhan. This woman has long forgiven him for his extra martial affair a long time ago. She has said it and she stayed for the children of the family. I think she still loves Harshvardhan and will forgive him once he starts acting and behaving himself. If he does and continues to be that way she will let him back into the house. I would much rather have Harshvardhan just ask for his tea and sugar free stuff from the servants and just not bother Manjari for things. He's old and he won't learn new tricks. There is that saying you can never teach an old dog new tricks. He has certain habits and I don't see him starting to go into the kitchen to look for his sugar free sugar packets nir attempt to make chai.
