He's too old to battak out. Cuz tangdi kebabs and shawarmas don't swoon over him anymore. Beside age, he's now got the unattractive person's partner effect. The number of groupies is directly proportional to the attractiveness of one's partner.

At Mumbai airport? I doubt it. They are called by the actors’ PR usually. Although I suspect if anyone knows their arrival or departure time they can call the paparazzi. A few years ago Katrina was arriving from somewhere and the paparazzi were just hounding her for pictures and she was ignoring them. Once she reached her car one of them yelled something like why did you call us if you are not even gonna pose, and Katrina stopped and said I didn’t call you. The only other scenario is if they are there for someone else and catch other celebrities. That usually happens around New Years holidays because everyone comes and goes.

I know that paparazzi used to (pre-covid) hang out around Los Angeles International airport because they would always catch a Hollywood star coming or going. But Hollywood has a much larger number of artists compared to Bollywood, add to it athletes and musicians. Paparazzi culture here is its own business entity.
