I guess itv don't stop their telecast because they have different channels for different type of programs like serials, movies, news, sports, music etc. Also since itv is shot on a daily basis they show the celebration of Holi, diwali etc on the serial around the same time as the festivals. Those are like special episodes with song and dance etc.

I don't know if ary, geo and hum have different channels for just movies. If they don't then may be that's why they show new movies on special days on their main channel by not showing dramas.
