Also in itv we enjoy komolika's antiques because we also get enough of anurag and prerna as well. We dont get komolika's scenes at the expense of anurag and prerna's romance.

Here we get sufi creepy's vlog and Naima's naagin dance at the expense of ushroze scenes.

yea, if we had a balance of ushna and shehroze scenes, we might not have felt irritated. currently, am enjoying the antics of sufiyan. don't ask me why. maybe it is because of smaller doses? 😂

I am watching on and off another soap -- zakham. I will be honest that I am so confused. I literally don't understand what any of the leads are up to. the writer refuses to connect the dots and leaves everything vague. nothing is even explained by dialogues. I haven't watched enough PK soaps but my impression is that as a viewer, I have to work harder to get what is going on. again, I am wondering if it is because of cultural differences. maybe local audience don't need briges at all and easily connect the briges and dots? 🤷

That is the point. See, we see how Naima was like this before too after the discussions. But if you go on twitter, insta ,you tube. They all have different opinions altogether. They see Naima has been turned into a villain for the extension. Trust me ,if i had not been the part of the discussions here, I would have never gotten the depth of characters and their transitions. When we discuss characters in depth, we see them in whole different light and that makes things interesting. More than the actual episodes, i enjoyed the descriptions of characters here. So , i understand how the audience who is not able to connect dots wont be seeing ASA in the same way as we do.. So makers really need to put more efforts for those audience as that is in large section to show the proper development. It is weird that why is it so difficult to understand this small thing?

as a viewer, the fun part of watching a romance blossom in a cat-dog relationship is the inbetween stage where they are caught between attraction, a draw towards each other but at the same time there is a repel. when done right, it can extend for so many episodes and is both entertaining as well as hilarious. that confusion, that awareness, that awkwardness, the banter -- ushna and shehroze had the potential to do all of that to become a dhamaka couple. not sure why they don't write those romantic bridges.

From the teasers ,we could see this coming but episodes disappointed big time 😒

I have been watching kdramas for years (and I means years) when the initial hallyu wave started. I actually think the recent set of dramas are not that amazing and lack the stickiness of the past. before, there was great story writing. even when you are rolling your eyes, you are hooked to know what will happen in the next episode. the last few years, there have been very few dramas that had that kind of quality. plus the arrival of netflix and other OTT platforms haven't helped. I feel there are too many half-baked stories. basically one-liners that got expanded into a series and the writers have no idea how to finish. but that is a story for another day. but yea, I have watched very low budget kdrams (the daily soaps and weekend dramas) and some of them were amazing. me and my mom used to watch on tv and be absolutely glued. they were either 50 eps or 150 eps and it is a complete story. so rather than budget, I would say it all boils down to writing and acting. 😀

I think kdramas have better content and story after 2016-2017. They completely got rid of those toxic male leads and meek and docile female leads that cries all the time. 2016-17 started showing male leads that supports the female leads and the good guys ending up with the girls. Also they started coming up with more genres like thrillers, slice of life, comedy, action etc. Before that almost all of the successful kdramas were just rom-coms with rich arrogant guy and dirty poor docile female leads. Also the technical aspect also started being more advanced.

Exactly. What irks me is that usmol has that chemistry.

Them fighting with each other itself is hot enough to put the screen on fire.

Because his expressionless face for 5 mins is better than Naima naagin's too much expression wala face for 30mins🤣

The problem is pakistan rarely comes up with these kind of dramas. We will get usmol in a same drama soon but they won't be paired with each other. 😭 and even if they end up together in that drama i don't think there will be much romance.

I hope the makers come up with ASA S2 with different story and usmol as leads.

I don't like when they fight around Naima Nagin, Wahab doormat and Zainab. They all are like 'chup karo', 'aapto chup ho jao', 'meine toh aisi tarbiyat nahi ki thi', 'yeh sab ho kya raha hai', 'sab chup ho jao'

I'm like do hell with your tarbiyat and tehzib, let them fight peacefully..

Zainab Bibi is one step ahead, she will take Ushna and leave the place to not irritate Naagin aapa, I'm like let her at least complete the roasting.
