just to play devil's advocate -- I find no change in shehroze or ushna. they are themselves. when it came to sufiyan, there were many times when ushna was very strong and hard with him. when it came to the proposal and the drama that followed, ushna was often confused on what is the etiquette and what needs to be done. however, when it comes to defending her mom, she has always been a little tigress -- in the mukthar house against her uncles and aunts, against sufiyan, against shehroze and naima as well.

the whole murder by soup shows that naima really cannot be redeemed. I can't visualize a situation where she just turns a new leaf, apologizes and they all play happy house again. it has gone too far for that. so what is a realistic arc for her? will she die like we expect?

I don't expect this to happen but this happened in a kdrama and it felt so satisfying -- the character ended up alone in an empty house as all her kids and husband left for their own journeys. she tells herself that she will be fine but there is a small catch that we know she is going to feel the burn. if something like that happened with naima, that would be wow.
