Aishwarya Rai Bachchan: a miscast as Sunehri in Dhoom 2?

Every time I watch that "Are you like checking me out" line it makes me want to take two Tylenol pills every evening. Aishwarya was gorgeous,but couldn't make the character or her acting memorable. Which actress would have done it better than her? Please do share your comments. 💔

I don't think her acting skills were why Aishwarya was cast in Dhoom 2 in the first place

Not at all. The role of Sunheri required someone who looked smoking hot (check), dance like crazy (check), mouth some silly cheesy lines like "Are you checking me out" (check), and give a bimbo attitude (check), and Ash nailed it. Casting Konkona Sen or even Kajol would have been a total miscast as they don't have the attributes to carry a role like this.

Acting is about "becoming the character". The character of Sunehri required Ash to look hot and act like a dumbass girl while giving cringy dialogue like "Are you checking me out" and Ash did that well. Giving a Devdas like performance here would be bad acting as that would go against the role.
