Is Aishwarya Rai a Tamil/Telugu regional heroine now?

She has Ponniyan Selvan 1 and 2, Rajnikanth's movie, etc.

Is this better for her? I think so, South Indian movies are better

and the heroes are sexier. 😎

Tamil/Telugu films are not regional anymore. Hindi films are more regional actually, since they don't have much of a market in the South, northeast, etc.

Wasn’t she always tho? She has done a considerable amount of South Indian movies. And anyways, these days there films are working, so good for her 😎

Aishwarya has always done films in other languages throughout her career. And she never denigrated them either. Unlike Sridevi who said she only did Devaraagam with Aravind Swami in Tamil only to please her mother. Nevermind that Devaraagam had a sizeable role role for the heroine. And the director was Bharathan one of the maestros of Malayalam cinema and was well known for melding art with commercial.

She has always been a favourite down South...Some of her memorable roles were from Tamil movies..Its amazing how she shared good chemistry with Mammootty and Ajith (not romantic)...usually super models look very out of place in South movies..like Sushmita or Pooja Batra

She started her career with Tamil cinema and has worked with them throughout.

Even when Bollywood boycotted her for the whole Salman saga, she got work in Tamil and Bengali.

Hell she even got work in Hollywood, she did not make use of the opportunity.

Her work in Tamil is actually good. Be it Jeans or Robot or even Ravan for that matter the Tamil was so much better
