A day drenched in entertainment. And it's been a day that has moved on at breakneck speed.
To imagine we lost 17 overs to rain. Day one, 338/7 -- it does look even, but India will take the honours. They've not just clawed their way back into this game, but they've damaged a lot of England's newfound bowling confidence while doing so.
Gill and Pujara started off decently, before Vihari and Pujara went into a shell, before Kohli continued his lack of runs, and Iyer had a short, sweet counterattacking stay.
But that's not what today was about. Today was about what India were post being 98/5. Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja, their newfound heroes over the last two years, put up yet-another rearguard.
Pant, with all his adventurism and his flashiness, not just turned the tables, but at one point even looked like he'd crushed England under that table. Jadeja was more measured, playing the perfect second foil.
